Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!!!!! Keep your money in your pocket. I have gotten my nails done there twice because my usual nail salon was unavailable. I thought this would be ok because it was in a decent strip mall and area.
I had too keep telling the tech what kind of acrylic to use on my nails and she didn't listen and had to keep repeating the process until she FINALLY used the correct powder and liquid I explain to her in the beginning. I also told the the tech that I was a licensed cosmologists and I worked at a nail salon before and went to school for nails, I know what I'm talking about.
She charged me 28.00 for a fill in and 25.00 for a pedicure. This was the price both the times I went to this salon which was 53.00 over all. Well I had a event coming up and I decided since this salon was around the corner from my house I would use them instead of driving to Owings Mills to my regular person.
Yet again i had to tell the tech to use solar powder and she seemed as if she didn't understand what I was saying. The owner KITTY had to keep telling her what powered to use and what to do with my type nail. So after she finished my nails I told her to charge me for fill in and a pedicure. I told her to charge one card 40.00 and the other the balance which was 13.00 equalling 53.00. Well she charge the 1st card 50.00 and got upset when I told her to void it, then she did like I asked and charged it for 40.00. She then charged the 2nd card for 23.00 when it should have been 13.00. I didn't realize she did that until I got home and looked at the receipts.
That was on a Friday, I called Saturday afternoon to ask about why I was over charged and was told I would have to wait until the tech came back to work on Monday so she could be asked about the charges. I tried to explain to KITTY (Owner) who was there the whole time when she over charged my card the first time that I didn't get any other services so why would she need to ask the tech when Kitty was standing there the whole time? I was dismissed and told to wait until Monday and hung up on.
So I went to the salon on Monday which was yesterday and KITTY (OWNER) told me that she charged me for having to file my nails to get the gel off the top. I was outraged, that is apart of getting a fill in. In all my years of getting my nails done you have to file off anything old before you lay down new acrylic. I reminded this lady that I had never been charged before in her salon for that so why all of a sudden that tech charged me. She said, that the tech felt like it was extra work for her to file me acrylic down and that was a 5.00 charge. I caught her in a lie right there. Then said ok why she charge me 10.00 if this made up charge was only 5.00? CRICKETS!!!!!!!! She then reached in her draw and tried to give me 5.00 and said here is your change. NO APOLOGY or anything. I told her she could keep that 5.00 and she don't have to worry about ever seeing me as a client again. Not only is the service techs not educated and experience for overpriced service, the owner could careless about your concerns or the service you recieved. I'm not even going to go into the pedicure experience that night, that took the inexperienced tech a hour to do and KITTY had to keep assisting her because she was doing it wrong. Keep your money in your pocket if you want to be treated fairly as a client. I will never ever go back because of the disrespect of the owner and her allowing her techs to overcharge ppl with out explanation for the charge. RUN AWAY FORM THIS SALON. GO TO REGAL NAILS IN OWINGS MILLS WALMART. ASK FOR KEN HE IS A GREAT, REASONABLY PRICED...
Read moreThis salon is under construction but everyone was working It seems like they are upgrading so it was there were cleaning and fixing along side the services. I walked in so I was surprised to see that they took me. My $37 pedicure with two basic coats was done in 5-6 minutes. - I was surprised. I thought it wasn’t finished so I waited til it was dry and asked about top coat. Twice I was told no. My feet also needed some oil or lotion to finish up the service with finesse. Nails at $50 was a gel coat. Tax $3. No soaking hands, just a quick spray and polish.
For the $90, I’d have love a luxurious soak, and massage of the feet with top coat. A little more extended time. It felt like I was rushed with minimal attention. However, I was glad for this starter pedicure. The reason for the rushy appointment became obvious as I was leaving. A lady rose out of her seat after I paid and the young lady who took care of me forgot me and said welcome, you’re right on time for your appointment. I think was just extra cash to make between appointments. :-). Nice...
Read moreToday was my first day going to galaxy nails I always try to switch up my nail salon because I've never been super happy with the end result. However I think I have found my permanent nail salon people in there were very kind and very sweet.when I walked in they took me right away and they also recommended I get to dip powder which I was hesitant to do first because it's usually very expensive but they were only $40 for a full set most places these days charge 50 or more for dip powder and long nails and coffin shape but this place did not the customers that were already in there were all regular so everybody was chit-chatting which was nice the environment was nice and I felt included.some of the reviews for this place are not good but I don't see why because I didn't have any problems I will definitely be back...
