I am on a mission to support local businesses and replace all the toxic products I use with natural alternatives, so I was delighted to discover this wonderful little shop in downtown Pilot Mountain. I had to walk around the shop several times just to take in all the beautiful merchandise and displays. As a former military officer and now a travel nurse (who loves to shop), I have been all over the country and have seen very few businesses that compare to Indulge Soapery. Julie's creativity and warm personality make this shop a must-visit. The prices are so reasonable, and I just want to buy one of everything. I limited myself to some luxurious scented lotion, lip balm in an adorable keychain holder, soap and "soap mats" (to keep the soap from sticking to my shower shleves), deodorant for my husband, and a gift for a friend who is expecting a baby ("bellly balm" and natural soap with a duck on top). Julie and her mother (Joni) even put the gift items in an adorable bag with tissue! I started using the products and went back the next week for more. I bought deodorant (my husband loved it so much that I had to try the feminine version), shaving soap (and an adorable wooden disc to store it in) and "after sun" lotion for my upcoming beach trip. I had to go back a THIRD time in as many weeks to get more lotion, natural shampoo (made with massage "fingers"!) and conditioner, and gifts for friends at work. I was thrilled to discover that Julie is working on candles to add to the inventory. There are items for men, women, children, and even babies. I appreciate that Julie makes everything herself (with help form family) from natural ingredients. I have mild allergies and have had no problem whatsover with any type of reaction. After visiting Indulge Soapery, be sure to wander through downtown PIlot Mountain and visit some of the other stores. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many unique shops and other businesses. PLEASE shop locally and support...
Read moreWe were last here in November, and had to come back to get the daydreamer lotion that’s just amazing! Everyone was so nice the first time we visited. We were, however, a little disappointed from today, as we were constantly being stared at. Enough to where I grabbed the lotion and just wanted to check out so we could leave immediately. It felt uncomfortable :(. We were there with our toddler and tried our best not to let her touch the soaps or knock them over, I have a feeling that was the issue. Regardless, we’ll be back again, hopefully it will feel a bit...
Read moreUnsure of who the owner is, but it is an uncomfortable enviroment inside the shop. The actual shop itself is cute, and everything there seems to be made and set up with care. That however is completely overshadowed by the fact the employee at the counter was staring down everyone. I'm Mexican. I don't want to make accusations, but while visiting with my white friends, I somehow managed to be the only one he was staring at. When I left the shop, he physically stood up taller as if inspecting I hadn't stolen...
