Grecian Steak & Seafood House — Local services in Pinckneyville

A family owned establishment that has been around for a long time. Its well known by locals but really lacks any curb appeal from the outside or comfort on the inside. They are going through much needed renovations but not sure if they will get a trendy look that feels welcoming to both young and old crowds (all you see there are usually old folk).

As a personal complaint, they blare loud Christian music channels that are more distracting than relaxing. All the decor, tables, and seating is dated and ugly. The whole restaurant is not a peaceful setting to relax and eat at and I'm never impressed or thinking I want more after coming here all my life.

If you are just passing through, I recommend the Mexican place down the street.

Stopped for supper on a Friday night around 5 pm, so not very busy yet. Friendly waitresses, and lots of options on the menu. We decided to have steaks: T-bone for my husband and ribeye for me. Excellent flavor and char marks, done exactly as ordered. The baked potato was standard, normal sized, and NOT covered in salt. The salad bar is marvelous. So many options for vegetables, mixed greens and spinach leaves, cole slaw and pasta salad, etc. They also have a hot buffet which looked excellent as well. I did not order from regular menu but the Steaks coming out looked amazing, but I did get the buffet, its Sunday so it was prime rib in au jus, fried chicken, fried fish. There was mashed potatoes, green beans, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes and a salad bar. I ate everything and I loved the salad bar, clean fresh, stocked, delicious, and I am not a fish eater but I ate the fish and it was sooo good, hot, flaky, tender.so good. And it was 16.99.
