Perry County Market Place — Local services in Pinckneyville

They are incredible with their prices and Outstanding food selection.However there is something I've noticed while standing in line, that not everyone is taking advantage of: Rewards points. I've gotten a 24 pack of water, shredded lettuce, hamburgers buns and more, FREE! All you do is fill out a short form. After that if you forget your rewards card, just enter your phone number, AS simple as that!! There is something else I'd like to touch on that is so important to me as I care for several disables people: THEY ARE THE ONLY GROCERY STORE WITHIIN A 100 MILE RADIUS THAT CARRIES YOUR GROCERIES OUT TO YOUR CAR, LOADS THEM UP AND...TAKES THE CART BACK IN!! COMEON, SO, IN closing its not that this is an advertising for their store because when you'll visit, you will notice they do not need that, However, we as a people need the services that are all located within this store and family owned and operated. I am a disabled veteran, amputee who suffers from PTSD. When I need to shop and I want to grab lunch at The Grecian; I park on the Marketplace parking lot. This keeps me from loosing my motivation to shop.

Today, was one of those days.

On my way into the store; I noticed a Post-It stuck to my window, informing me that the Marketplace parking lot was for people actively shopping in The Marketplace.

I grabbed the note, went inside, and got my groceries.

On my way out, I tracked down the female owner of The Marketplace, who admitted to writing the note.

I showed her my cart full of groceries. She admitted, that I was indeed a customer.

She however contended; I should move from one parking lot to the other. Instead of parking in a handicapped spot on her lot.

We failed to reach an amicable conclusion.

I will support Amazon, Walmart, & Dollar General before I spend another dime at The Perry County...

The Staff are all friendly and helpful. The Deli is amazing. Food is ALWAYS fresh, there is a great variety and it all smells/looks delicious in the deli case. The prices are very reasonable, they don't skimp on the portion sizes and all employees follow food handler instructions for serving food. I actually have lunch from here 3-4 times a week. Taco Tuesday is a Huge hit where I work. The store is kept very clean and tidy, they have a large selection of name brand as well as store brand groceries. They also have in store specials going daily and weekly. Along with a chance to win what you spend drawing, you really cant go wrong here. I know this is long but there are so many great things about this store I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone, I am certain you will be happy you stopped by for a bite to eat or to pick up...
