Wayside Fruit & Vegetable Market in Pinecrest is simply amazing. I've been coming here for years to satisfy my shake cravings, and let me tell you, they never disappoint! This is the go-to spot if you want a shake that's both delicious and fast. The staff here truly values your time, and even with a line out the door, you can get your shake in less than three minutes. And the prices? Affordable doesn't even begin to cover it. For just $5.50, you can get a medium shake and they offer healthy toppings such as whey protein, and just about every other supplement you could ask for. Trust me when I say those shakes are delicious and worth every penny.
But there's so much more to Wayside than just shakes. They also offer some of the best Wagyu beef I've ever tasted, as well as locally grown organic produce and a variety of gluten-free and vegan desserts. It's a one-stop shop for all your food needs, and everything is always fresh and delicious. What really sets Wayside apart, though, is their incredible customer service. The other day, my son and I arrived at the shop late and were disappointed to find that it had closed. But the owner saw us and noticed that my son had hurt his hand on the car door. Without hesitation, he reopened the shop just for us and even went the extra mile by putting ice on his hand and making sure we were taken care of. That's the kind of hospitality and care that's hard to find these days.
It's no wonder that this place feels like family. Wayside Fruit & Vegetable Market goes above and beyond to make sure that their customers feel welcome and valued. So, if you're looking for a place that offers amazing food, exceptional service, and a sense of community, look no further than Wayside Fruit & Vegetable Market. I can't...
Read moreOwner and management have terrible customer service...upon arriving at this market, a lead staff member informed my friend that he needed to be wearing a mask (valid) so I directed my friend to go back to the car and grab a spare mask. I then pointed out to the lead staff member that he was discretionary enforcing this rule because there were several others in line without masks thus presenting their rules and guidelines as unclear. The man became frustrated by this point and waved me off ending our conversation. He then called the police and tried to tell them I was giving him a hard time. After speaking with us the police officer understood what happened and left without incident.
The same lead staff member make a statement sounding very consistent with a formal threat after police left the scene "I'm gonna make sure you learn the hard way." I paid no mind to it but objectively the statement was very concerning.
TL/DR: Lead staff called the cops on patrons and lied to police trying to get us in trouble for pointing out the store wasnt properly enforcing policies consistent with local ordinances surrounding the covid epidemic. Staff then issued what sounded like a formal and personal threat after...
Read moreTucked into a shaded street, Pinecrest Wayside Market has been in business since 1948. It started out as a fruit stand but over the years other items were added like prepared foods, salads, baked goods, jams, sauces, and ice cream. It is the kind of place that appeals to both locals or someone passing by as I was that day. We saw the stand on our way to Pinecrest Gardens and after a hot day of walking around the gardens I was craving one of their advertised famous smoothies. I picked the strawberry breeze and my daughter had their strawberry banana. Two small smoothies were $9. Not on the cheap side but we were playing tourist for the day. They were indeed delicious. Mine was filled with strawberry flavor as advertised. It was very soothing on the scratchy throat I was developing and refreshing on the hot day. There are picnic tables out front if you want to stop and enjoy your snack. A great array of tropical produce was on display. There is also a lovely tree providing shade. If you are in the area visiting Pinecrest Gardens of Fairchild Tropical Gardens this is a fun...
