I have been an AT&T customer all my life. Literally. Even back when they were Cingular. Because they used to be both the most reliable and most affordable. The new plan structures have changed that and so I figured I would give Verizon a try since they were offering better competitive rates. Plus every time I ever need to make changes with AT&T or even get a new phone, it's always a multi hour ordeal. They don't give the greatest power to their employees and customer service to do basic services.
Joe from Wireless Zone was very knowledgeable, and so was the first rep I had talked to at corporate before going to the store. There was no second guessing anything or giving "misleading" information (being kind) like when I talked to AT&T last week. Verizon laid out all the costs with nothing hidden and honestly the hardest part of the whole experience was getting AT&T to release my number because they can't do it same day as pay off anymore. Joe at Wireless Zone was interested in helping me get the best value for a plan that suited me and not just trying to push a sale. I'm going back to Wireless Zone specifically rather than doing self serve online because of his knowledge and professionalism. And every employee in the store was eager to help all customers even though they were really busy. Even if it meant tag teaming and multitasking, but they did it without making any customer feel like they weren't getting the attention they needed. I've been in probably upwards of 20 different phone stores over the years and it's never been such a smooth experience honestly....
Read moreCameron at the Saline location is incredible. I wasn't there to buy a new phone, all I wanted to do was pay off the rest of my phone. I was planning on buying an off brand phone and he convinced me that the Galaxy Ultra 24 was better. It is, can confirm. Not only did he show me everything for me and what I could get, he wrote everything down so I could see every single detail of the payments and perks. That's a huge plus since I'm a visual person. He's the perfect combination of cool and professional. He even went out of his way to help me. He had plans that night since it was after 8pm closing time and I said I'd really like the phone now and he did it. That was really cool of him. We had a few laughs and got to know each other during the process and I felt comfortable and content. I don't even see him as a salesman, that's how good he was. I see him as a friend who not only gave me a better phone than I was looking for, but someone I'd like to see more often. Maybe I'll give him a call on my brand new kick*ss phone.
Overall, hands down one of, if not the best encounters of customer service I've ever had. Keep it up Cam. You have a great future ahead of you...
Read moreHands down the worst customer service I have ever had. The sales rep's name was Sidney and she was rude, condescending, and insulted me several times. She rolled her eyes pretty much every time I asked a question and wanted to charge me for a screen protector and phone case I never asked for. Was unable to do my upgrade and then demanded I paid her the upgrade charge, even though I was leaving with my old phone. She claimed because she already processed the payment even though I was not getting a new phone. I explained that was her mistake, not mine, and then she insulted me. I will not be going back into this store again.
Update: The store manager called me later the same day and apologized for the poor performance of the sales rep. He was very helpful and respectful and understood if I didn't want to go back. I decided to go back and he was great. Took care of my phone needs and got a great deal. I would most definitely return to this store for my...
