Dollar General — Local services in Pleasureville

We live near New Castle and this Dollar General Store is a great convenience. Before it opened a year or so ago a gas station was the only nearby store.

Dollar General isn't a supermarket, but they do offer a fair inventory of grocery items. Not fresh meat, fruit or vegetables however. Definitely not where we do most shopping, but very convenient for a quick trip to buy a few items.

They offer a variety of household goods and general merchandise, also convenient for quick trip shopping.

No alcoholic beverages, lottery tickets or gasoline, all of which are available at the gas station a few hundred yards away.

This store is newer and larger than most other Dollar General stores I have visited. The layout appears more efficient, especially the checkout location. Checkout at some Dollar General stores is just inside the door, resulting in delay and congestion, while the arrangement in this store facilitates a more customer friendly experience.

The employees here are friendly, helpful and efficient. The store is clean and the inventory well stocked.

The facility is wheelchair accessible.

The doors where opened this morning at your store , so I went in. I was told to leave rudely by a young boy employee because the store was closed. So I told him that the doors was opened.I still had to leave without what i needed. As soon as i walked out the door. He said you can now come in and turned on the remaining lights.
