Recently I was walking at a Nature Preserve and was somewhat startled to see boardwalks and benches made of decaying or dilapidated wood. It prompted me to write this review on the Adirondack chairs and side table I purchased a set of outdoor furniture (2 chairs and a little table) from Plastic Lumber Yard about a year ago. It's been great…everything I was hoping for. The set has sat outside this entire time and gets hit by both rain and sun (see attached picture) and it still looks as good as the day it arrived. Occasionally, I'll hose the chairs and table down to get pollen off them, but they are truly easy care. Assembly was straight-forward and took only 10 minutes to assemble all 3 pieces of the set. I had no problems. I also feel like the furniture adds a touch of class to my patio. It just astounds me that people would still use wood when plastic lumber is such a great product. It saves you the time and money from having to replace rotting or deteriorating wood and you can feel good about the fact that you’re making good use of plastics that otherwise would end up in a landfill somewhere. I highly recommend Plastic...
Read moreWhen designing this pergola, I was looking for a system that could handle the long 18' span, was low maintenance, and pre-finished black. Luckily I knew of Plastic Lumber Yard from a previous trellis project. Christian was super helpful in assisting with selecting the correct components. The rafters have an aluminum structural core. I gave lengths of exactly what I needed, and they were able to pre-cut which helped keep the cost to only what was needed. I did the rafter/shade strip layout on the ground, pre drilled, and marked locations with blue painters tape. My son-in-law came over the next evening and we were able to install the rafters and shade strips in around 2 hours! We used 8x8 pressure treated for the post/beam structure which handle the 3 swings without any movement and are rock solid. The plastic lumber products were super easy to assemble and the rafters easily handled the span. The shade strips are only pvc so my only worry is if a limb falls (quite common in the woods) they are likely to be broken or damaged. If so..., replacement should be...
Read moreLets make this cut and dry. Needed to order about $1300 worth of composite lumber. Shipping locally in PA was about $650. Shipping it to me in NC was going to cost $1000. I was going cut the shipping costs by going to PA and picking it up. Nope, they said that there were multiple locations that my request would come from, therefore there was no way around the shipping costs. They will not work with the customer. I believe it is because they don't want to deal with the little guy. Just the big money folks. Take your business to someone that care about all their customers, big or small! To the owner that posted a reply, next time if you are using a previous email to clear your companies name, make sure you copy both sides of the email and let the readers of this review make an...
