Went there once and never came back. It took the guy ages to cut my hair. I think I was in the barber's chair for nearly 2 hours. Also the barber had my chair turned completely opposite of the mirror while he was cutting my hair, so I couldn't see what he was doing the entire time. Guy just kept going around and around repeatedly cutting more and more hair off, as if to suggest he was not properly trained to cut hair. When I was finally able to catch a glimpse of my haircut through the mirror, I was mortified as all my hair had been scalped off, which is not what I told him to do. I could have given myself the same haircut at home with an electric razor in 5 minutes. Barber also kept taking breaks repeatedly to socialize with the other employees. I can accept this to a certain extent, but it started to get really excessive and annoying as he would walk away in the middle of my haircut to watch entire youtube videos. Shows very little respect for the customer. I now go to Vacante's in Northtowne Plaza, the barbers actually know what they're doing, and I'm in and out of there in 10 minutes with exactly the haircut I want.
EDIT: Your lack of professionalism is astounding. Instead of listening to negative reviews and trying to correct the shortcomings of your hole in the wall barbershop, you choose to argue and make sorry attempts to discredit the customer's review by making up erroneous assumptions, claiming "it never happened". Does my experience sound so horrible to you that you can't even suspend belief that it happened? Well, unfortunately for you, it did. I assure you my review isn't fake, but I'm willing to bet nearly all the 5 star reviews for this place are. The second you walk in, you know this isn't a 5 star joint. Even right now, it's like I'm arguing with some 12 year old in a Youtube comment chain. You clearly have no idea how to run a business or how to treat your customers.
And yeah, I'm going to suggest a better barbershop in the same area along with my negative review. It's not so much that I'm solely trying to "advertise the competition", it's just that the competition deserves to be advertised over this...
Read moreI can't give it 5 stars only because I didn't actually get a hair cut here. I was in desperate need of one and found Sal's online. The reviews & photos sold me! This looked like a real genuine barber shop with the modem day touch and high caliber of talent. I was unfortunately in a rush this day and there was a wait and couldn't stay as I had plans at a certain time. I did get to meet the owner, Sal. He seems like a great guy, who you can tell works hard and gives his all to his business. This is obvious for many reasons. The reviews alone should be enough to convince you, but if not then just spend 5 minutes talking to him about his shop or even look around at the snacks and beverages he provides in the event you do have a wait for what he and his customer say is "the best cut you will find". I will definitely be back to try this place, even though I live a good drive away. Next time though I'll make sure I won't be in a...
Read moreI got a haircut at Sal's six months ago and the employee who cut my hair took two hours to finish my simple cut and it turned out really uneven and didn't meet what I asked for. I figured it was a fluke and went back a second time. I got the same employee, the cut took about 45 minutes and turned out even worse than the first time. I didn't realize how bad it was and went to a job interview. A part of the cut was so long it looked like I had a ponytail hanging from the middle of my head, this was only on one side, the other side of my head did not mirror it. So when I got home I actually had to cut my own hair into a buzz cut to even it out. I know the kid was trying his best but it was very disappointing that his skill level did not increase after 6 months. I won't be going back to Sal's. That being said I observed a lot of the other staff doing a amazing job with really detailed cuts while I spent time...
