I recently moved to the area and was searching for a good place to start getting my hair done. I searched reviews of a bunch of different salons and thought I was just getting a simple hair cut, so I should probably be safe no matter what. I picked this place after looking at the reviews and was excited for my first appointment. I was able to get in pretty quick, so I was happy about that. I went in to get my hair cut with Jackie and was super happy about the outcome and experience because she was also super kind, friendly, and nice to talk to. The hair cut I believe was around $54 and I tipped $11. I went home all happy about my new haircut, but then at one point I realized one side looked about an inch longer. My family claimed that it just looked like that because of the way she blow dried it, and I was like that's probably correct. Two days later after showering I brushed it straight down and noticed one side really was about an inch longer. I ended up emailing and calling and leaving a voicemail since it was past closing time. I talked to the Pinehills location the next morning. Got no apology. This was on Saturday, and they told me I could not get in until Wednesday. I said it does not need to be with Jackie, they told me Tuesday. I asked if the receptionist if she could check with the Exit 5 location (36 minutes away from my house), and she goes I can give you the number. I said I'll just get it off the website. I then called the other location and they told me Tuesday I believe. I asked again really? Since I was bothered that the salon made a mistake and they wouldn't fit me in. I finally got an appointment on that day and rushed over there. I got there and the stylist still could not manage to make the sides equal. I had to keep telling her to cut it and she didn't believe me, so I asked for another set of eyes. Another lady came over and started cutting all around my head and finished. I couldn't completely tell, and I said it was fine. I tipped $5 because I felt bad, but I went into the car and noticed it was still uneven. I went home and ended up just cutting it by myself. About $68 and about an hour and a 1/2 of driving for this awful experience. Will not be going back or recommending this...
Read moreI don’t leave reviews like this often, but I feel compelled to here. Had an appointment with Kate today. Just an unbelievably rude lady. I told her I was looking to grow my hair out and only wanted a 1/4 inch off. She ignored what I said and cut nearly 3/4 - 1 inch off. When I tried to politely ask why, she literally stopped and stared at me without saying a word.
My hair is kind of ruined and the entire experience felt like a car wash, once size fits all. I have spent $100 for a men’s cut in the past, but it’s supposed to be something customized, based on what the client was looking for. Not you’re a guy, so I’m going to cut your hair like everyone else’s, so sit there and don’t say anything. Just awful.
The only thing pleasant about the experience was the receptionist, Beth, who seemed to...
