We've used them for years butchering more than 8 hogs and cows as well as numerous big game. And within the last couple years they have gotten worse. We stayed customer due to our history using this shop. But today was the final straw. We had hogs butchered in July, when we picked them up some of the product was missing. We informed them that there was a lack of product. They said they were sorry that someone else must have put our product into someone else's order and they would get it to me next week or so. I said sounds good I'll keep in touch. So from August till November I called every week to get our meat back. They gave me the run around telling me they haven't had any hogs in or that the customers canceled orders so they haven't had anything come thru. I even went down there once because they said they had it. Once I got there they didn't have anything for me and the whole group of employees seemed to not even know what I was talking about. They gave me dog bones for the misunderstanding and said give us another week. Well today is the day. I called like I usually do and asked for the product we the gentleman told me to call back at the end of the week or next week and check back. It's been 4 month and nothing has been compensated. I’ve been very patient and understand that mistakes happen. I’m also very disappointed in their lack of communication… I’ve talked to multiple employees and no one had a clue about my order being mishandled. So del Monte you can keep at this point I am done giving your company business and my families business aswell. Read moreThe day before we were going to have the mobile butchering come get our two steers we called to confirm our appointment. Keeping in mind that we made this appointment 2 years in advance. We were told they have discontinued the mobile butchering service. With the ground frozen we were not set up in the least to corral our animals. We have used this service for about 13 years and were caught completely off guard. They did offer to let us borrow a trailer in which we rushed down to get within 30 minutes, only to be told that the trailer wasn't even in town. Our beef were chased through a fence and to the point of exhaustion. We called to get assurance that we still had a spot held only to be told we needed to have them there the next day by 5 pm. We weren't able to catch them and had to get a mobile butcher from out of town to come get our beef costing us $400 extra dollars. A whole years efforts wasted by their mismanagement. Years of trusted business flushed in seconds. A simple call when they discontinued this service would have made a world of difference. The fact they are still advertising this service is a main reason I am writing this review today. Beware and if could give them zero stars...
Read moreI took my bull moose to have it butchered and did not get all my meat back. I tried taking to them many times and all I got was that it was because of the way we dressed it in the field. I asked to talk to the owner but he would not call me back. How do you only get 120 lbs of meat back from a bull moose that probably weighted 400 lbs after we quartered it out. It didn't even fill the top freezer in my outside fridge. 12 packages of steaks and about 20 packages of burger. They also did way more salami then i asked for.
