As an avid drag racing fan, I recently had the pleasure of visiting one of the most impressive dragstrips I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the professionalism and attention to detail that was evident in every aspect of this dragstrip. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help, and the facilities themselves were top-notch.
The first thing that struck me about this dragstrip was the sheer size of the track. It was absolutely massive, stretching out for what seemed like miles in front of me. This meant that there was plenty of room for racers to really let loose and push their machines to the limit, without having to worry about running out of space or hitting any obstacles. The track surface itself was smooth and well-maintained, with no bumps or cracks to throw off the racers' rhythm.
Another thing that impressed me about this dragstrip was the level of safety that was clearly a top priority. From the well-placed barriers and catch fences to the highly-trained paramedics and emergency crews standing by, it was clear that every possible precaution had been taken to ensure the safety of both the racers and the spectators. This was especially important to me as a spectator, as it allowed me to...
Read moreI've attended this event since the first one, I used to say this was the best event in Michigan however, this year it was an absolute joke and a miserable event. They've made it so the only GA stand is basically past the finish line with only half the capacity of tickets they sell. There was no shade this year and no viewing for attendants that didn't pay outrageous VIP prices. They also put the only screen... Only one screen for thousands... At the start line in front of the $85 ticket seats. It's a shame what this event has become for spectators. I don't know if dodge or M1 is to blame but it has soured this event for a lot of people. I would not recommend any one attend again. This coming from someone who has been in the show, been VIP, been a racer and an...
Read moreVIP passes not really worth the $$$. Best part about them was the parking across the street. But "Fast Pass" is only good for one of the two "Thrill Rides" (not mentioned anywhere and the on site staff is beyond clueless) and still required a 1.5 hour wait (mostly due to some pointless 20 minute long guess the lap time game). I guess that's better than the 4 hours I waited last year. Nitro funny car and dragster "passes" were a lame quarter to half track burnout. I know they can't do a full attempt on an impromptu / improvised track so I guess don't bring them? Really contemplating not attending...
