Market basket it's now joined the digital age and they offering digital only discounts you got to have a smartphone you got to have the app to get the discount ridiculous a lot of the elderly don't have smartphones I don't want to have to download an app to get the best deal again you people are forgetting your roots small town grocery feel of this store disappearing rapidly.Okay I want to be real clear from the get-go this review is not directed to this store but rather Market Basket new corporate policy. this store is well ran has friendly service you don't have to unload your basket the cashier does that for you and there is basket the car service if you wish. For these reasons I shop at Market Basket I avoid the bigger chains and enjoy the mom and pop atmosphere of a locally-owned store. What I dislike about new corporate policy is that you have to carry a piece of plastic loyalty card to get the best value my wallet is already about an inch and a half thick why must I carry a card to get the best deal? and I couldn't find me by my phone number so I missed out on about 5 bucks of savings because I don't want to carry another piece of plastic. What I'd like to know is who's Bright Idea is this Woodards? Cormier? I know the old man my grandfather built The Grove store on Lincoln in the late 50s early 60s and the orange store in that time. As well and I know the old man would be rolling over in his grave making your customers jump through hoops to get a bargain stop emulating the big stores and go back to valuing your customers and their time and their dollars. A YEAR AGO: The employees are great friendly people, but the main problem that I'm upset about this store is mainly because of over stocked on 2 different items that's crazy. PIZZA - Always Pepperoni, Cheese, and 3 meat only, hardly any Supreme or combination with any brand. 2000 Gallon Tubs of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice cream, takes up room for more selections. They really never run out of Homemade Vanilla Ice cream, even if it cured some kind of sickness. It is a good store with good stuff, just need a few tweeks fixed.

Besides what I already said the store has gotten worse. I can't buy my Chimichangas Dark Blue pack because they replaced that kind by the same company with another flavor. I can't stand rice burritos and now that's the main type they got. Plus they did away with all the Pimento Cheese spread containers. The Best Country Sausages came for a couple months and they also got taken away. They never have my Always Save Spring Water in Gallons like they use to.

It seems like they are adding more foods that most of us never heard of but they over charge it.

I've also noticed since all these new changes have been taking away or moved that all new young employees have replaced a lot of the normal workers I been seeing for years.

That store seems like they really wants to push their customers away in every angle and their prices are higher than other stores.

I went in today with a grocery list and came out with 1 item. What a huge disappointment.

This store is falling apart of being a store...

Almost everything is overpriced.... They never have fried chicken when they clearly have specials on it, the specials don't last very long because they want to hike up the price again very quickly. They over charged my wife the other day on an eight piece and gave her basically five wings and just one breast and one thigh or one breast and two thighs and then the rest was just wings and the were very small and very dry old chicken They're very snooty there also..not necessarily in the deli, But in the whole store there are very impersonal there. The store is very dirty and filthy, I wouldn't shop there unless I had an emergency and had to go there because it's right down the road but preferably I would rather drive an extra 15 miles or so to go to Kroger or HEB, but Kroger has better prices than HEB and The market basket combined...they also give you deals on gas, points off and they also give you a membership card where you can save money on things and get extra savings. They have specials all the time and they're a lot nicer than people at market basket. I would recommend going to Kroger over market basket any day to anyone all the time....oh their store is a lot...
