MDR Racing — Local services in Port Saint Lucie

Update I ended up back at MDR out of necessity; and- I can admitt when I was wrong- they were great. I've actually since been back numerous times and have had nothing but good experiences. Everyone has a bad day, and perhaps I caught them at a bad time initially; but the staff at MDR has more than made up for the initial impression detailed below. Besides receiving great follow-up customer service, their inventory is huge. I have yet to need a part that they haven't had readily in stock. Pricewise; they've only been a few dollars higher than buying online, and being able to obtain my items the same day is well worth the minimal extra dollars.

My initial review was (1) star, and I'm amending that to a full (5) . I would (and do) shop MDR often and will highly recommend them from this point forward.

(Initial review) Went in after being reffered by Traxxas directly to trade up my motor/esc via the Power-Up program, MDR allegedly is an authorized participant per Traxxas who encourages customers to utilize their local vendors for the program. The gentlemen I spoke with working the service station by the door was rude and advised they "don't do that there" because they "don't make any money." I asked if there was anywhere else locally and his reply was "nope- we're all you got- everyone else closed down." I did find another shop in a nerby city- I'll drive the extra 20 minutes rather than deal with that kind of mentality. The shop itself was very small, dimly lit and cramped, the gentlemen working the register looked a bit more professional, but after my encounter with the other worker, they'd already lost...

I’ve been in to the hobby for over 25 years… I’ve been to a majority of hobby shops from NYC down the East coast all the way down to Miami and with different shops come different service… MDR has the best service for its customers I’ve have ever experienced… I’m not just Rob’s customer but I consider him a friend… He’s a true gentleman… he always puts the effort to help and is understanding of his customers needs… any parts needed he can get… I highly recommend MDR & Rob… best hobby shop for miles and...

I don’t care what anyone has to say bad about This place don’t listen to them .. one it’s the only real hobby shop close to many .. they have a ton of stuff .. every time I go there they do everything in there power to help me .. there always honest even if they could up sell me they don’t .. so for anyone looking for a hobby shop that has parts fuel and cars trucks and boats and more with good people here’s your place .. I have brought many people there and will bring more...
