I moved from Fort Lauderdale FL to Fort Pierce FL after the purchase a home there . I had a security camera system at my previous home. I had purchased the system from someone on Craigslist who also did the installation and I regretted for 5 years: there was problems after problems with either the cameras, software, phone apps it was just annoying and too often happening. So my wife and I when we moved, into our Fort Pierce house we swear we would not get a system from a guy from Craigslist again, but only from a real security camera company, with a brick and mortar store and who will also provide us and be responsible with the installation. I googled up and found a few companies in St Lucie County and visit each one of them and I met with Victor Mendez at TCSS (Treasure Coast Security Supplies) and they had a nice showroom so I could see the various cameras and how they look on a monitor. Victor was very knowledgeable about the products and priced me for an 8 cameras system with DVR and higher quality HD cameras (cameras more expensive, but no regret for the additional cost) and also for a Ring doorbell camera ( the one advertised on TV, that communicate with your smartphone) and the installation for everything. The price was fair and reasonable. The installation went without a problem and was done professionally with care and cleanly done. The installer helped me uploading the software in my laptop, and the apps in my wife and my, smartphones and tablets for the cameras system and for the Ring doorbell. All this happened 5 months ago and I had not one problem since then, and the quality of the view of the HD cameras on my computer is fantastic, the apps on our phone and tablet works great for the cameras and the Ring doorbell. I had giving this company a 5 star review but reduce it to a one star, reason I paid over $5k for a camera system that never ran a year straight. Their tech who is good in recording and keeping a log on their service came out here numerous times to fix it. After repeated field calls, he suggested a solution to fix the problem. I paid more money he installed new hardware the system ran for a longer period of time and eventually one camera failed, I again contacted them they want to charge a service fee to come out I explained this is an ongoing issue they agree to come out but for some unknown reason the camera came back up I told them what had happen they said keep an eye on it if it happens again they will come out. well a little later on the entire system crashed. I did the basic trouble shoot and was unable to get cameras up. I again contacted them they told me it will be almost 2 months wait before they can come out and check their defective cameras system. They called them selves Security people but show no sense of urgency, that my business will be with no cameras monitoring it will now be venerable to theft and possible vandalism from homeless. What bothers me I have a older previous camera system I installed my self and it is still running to this day never went down and I paid $399 at Sam's Club for it. I wanted an professional camera upgrade/installation and had this company came out. It was a waste of money look at how much more I spent and the system they installed needs to be taken down and place in the garbage. I told them this and they still did not come out. I have used this company to install two complete systems on my home over the past 5 years. After the install the second time, seven out of nine cameras were falling down off my soffit due to improperly securing to the soffit, which I ended up having to re remount the cameras and fix myself. But what really was upsetting was when I had a theft in my home and I desperately needed a tech to assist me with a technical issues. I was having trouble retrieving the data for law enforcement. All I received from Victor at AVS was excuses why they didn't have time to assist me in my very difficult time. I begged them to send somebody for several days, so anybody could imaging how upsetting this was especially after I have spent a great deal of money using their services in the past. I wasn't asking for much, just a service call for and hour or two to troubleshoot the issue and they would not come.
