Value Village Thrift Store — Local services in Porterville

Value village is a really fun place to shop. There is a great selection of clothing from children’s sizes to ladies plus, and all things in between. They have a wide variety of books, knickknacks, kitchen items and more. The prices on the clothing is great, and the more clothing items you buy, the more you save. My only issue with value village is their pricing on non clothing items. They are very high priced on furniture, and kitchen items. All of their items are donated, and used to be priced affordably. In the last year or so the pricing on non clothing items has skyrocketed. Be aware of that when you shop. The store is clean and friendly, and I’ve been shopping here since it was located on Main Street, about a hundred years ago :). I will continue to shop here, with the hope that logic prevails and the prices on donated items...

This used to be one of my favorite thrift stores. For the last year and a half or so whomever is doing the pricing here is INSANELY high. $20 for a single mixing bowl...really? $200 for a used & damaged dresser? $5 for a coffee mug? This place is now pricing their "vintage" items at prices far higher than the local antique store. Someone should tell them that they are NOT an antique store. Really ?? one burnt pot with a lid for 9:00. The other is also burnt with no lid and it is bent for$5 they should have been in the trash. They really need to get their prices under control.
