New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Porterville

Due to my recent gastric bypass surgery, my ability to consume food has been greatly restricted. If I eat too much, I risk not being able to keep it down. Unfortunately, on this particular day, I experienced difficulty keeping my food down and urgently needed to use the restroom. However, I was unfamiliar with the restaurant and did not know where the restroom was located. I approached a woman who appeared to be a waitress and asked her for directions. To my dismay, she responded rudely saying to me "Don't ask me" and pointed me towards another waitress. I attempted to ask the second waitress, but she did not hear me as she was walking away. I then approached a third waitress who was standing in a different part of the restaurant. She kindly directed me to the restroom, which happened to be on the opposite side of the restaurant from where I initially asked the first waitress. I barely made it to the restroom in time to avoid...

It's okay, however the food is bland. For some reason there was a dog in the building that the owner was allowing to eat from under other people's feet, not of the staff said a word about it. I'm sure it was most likely a service dog, but the staff should have said something about keeping the dog closer to its owners. The floor was dirty. However the staff was friendly enough. They kept picking the plates up from the table in a timely fashion. Another thing that was alright about it is that they provided hand sanitizer and gloves for people to use while getting food. Out of the staff's control however no one seemed to use gloves or hand sanitizer while getting food, nor did any one seem to pay any attention to the request to wear a facemask while getting food. I would say skip this...

I love eating crab legs. For this you need "crab crakers" to open some of the legs. They did not have any. Tried eating them with out this tool but they were still frozen. Explained this to the waitress and she stated, "Everybody ate them like this." Some of the food was warm not HOT. The Orange chicken was chewy and not crunchy like other places. Salted crab was cold and tasted funny. In conclusion, I belive they let the food "sit" for too long. We were there for over one hour, nobody steped out to check the temperature on the food. P. S. We mentioned to one of the waitreses that the food was warm and not hot. I requested to speak to the manager, not available....
