Closet Update — Local services in Portland

Awesome place to get cute clothes on the cheap! I just opened an account with them to sell a few items of my own so we'll see how it goes! As always, the staff is friendly, welcoming, and all around good people. I love coming here.

Skip selling if you're out to make quick money. At the time I didn't understand what a consignment is and thought it was going to be an upfront sale. Instead they take your items to be sold over time to the customers and when an item sells they take a percentage off the price they set and pay you the difference. Fair enough. However what I found unsavory is the fact that if an item does not sell they then keep that item and you get no money. I have a few personal issues with that. You may not. Still, my advice is to just shop there and sell your clothes at Platos Closet or somewhere similar that is not a consignment. I still stand by the friendly staff and fun...

I seriously just LOVE Closet Update! For one, it is one of my favorite thrift stops. I get all the best complements from garments I wear from there. They have great quality items and I feel like I seriously walked away with the best of bargains. Today they truly saved me 🥰.

My daughter had her first recital and we had purchased a suit from a store awhile back, we saw just the day before that they forgot to remove the paint tag. I took it in and told her my delema only to have them go the extra mile to help us out. They got it off and she could wear her one item she truly wanted to for her big show! She even received all the best for her performance and truly it was all thanks to them...

The clothes selection is amazing! I buy clothes for myself and my teenage boys! I'm a shopaholic when it comes to clothes and this is by far my favorite place to shop for all of us! The prices are amazing! Lots of brand name clothes! Tons of choices for my office job too! The staff is amazing! It's clean! I mean what more could you ask for! Plus they always have two color tags that are half off!! And I can resell my clothes in their shop for a fair price so I can turn around and buy more to feed my addiction to this...
