I cannot speak for Sterling Park apartments but I do live in Powell Court apartments. They are both ran by the same office. I've lived there for less than 2 months and the place is absolutely disgusting. The halls are dirty, the stairs aren't well maintained, and whatever maintenance job they did when we first moved in was unacceptable. They didn't even have the courtesy to paint over the crayon marks on the closet doors. I'm a positive person so I just turned it in with our move in papers, hoping they'd fix it but no they didn't. After living there for a month, I noticed there's black mold growing in our apartment. I called the apartment building to ask if someone can look at it. The management responded with you need to keep your apartment well ventilated by keeping windows open. I let them know that we do but that's going to become a problem when I have a newborn and it's 30 degrees outside. I can also see water damage on the walls. She finally said someone can take a look at it but after I denied her access with me being there then she got an attitude, "well I'd figure if you want the mold taken care of, you'd let us in." I'm sorry but I've had people steal things when I am not present, so I prefer to be there. This apartment complex is run by Affinity Property Management so I should have known it would be trash. What did I expect? You live in a trashy apartment complex run by a trashy property management company, you usually get...
Read moreMy roommate and I lived in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, ground-floor apartment in Sterling Park from June 2022 - June 2024. In those two years, there were a few things I noticed:
Wonderdog Management prioritizes cleanliness. Hedges were trimmed, lawns were mowed, and every week a garbage handling service would come clean up any spilled garbage from the dumpsters.
The leasing team focuses on community. At least once/quarter if not more often, the leasing office held fun events for neighbors to gather. Popsicles by the pool in the summer for example. We also had children who played in the parking lot and at the pool. It's always a good sign to me when children feel comfortable playing somewhere.
Our stay was not without issue, but issues were handled within a reasonable time frame. Maintenance responded to requests within 3 days. We had a hiccup with getting our deposit check back. It took 2 months beyond the date we moved out, and the leasing office was responsive and communicative when we followed up, helping us track down the location of the missing check.
I don't expect a perfect, seamless experience where nothing ever goes wrong, just that the team works with me to get it fixed. I see a some negative reviews here, and I just didn't have the same experience.
Shoutout to Susana and Angie, our leasing agents. Angel was our maintenance man, and he was efficient. Y'all worked hard to make our stay there enjoyable, and I...
Read moreThese are the worst apartments . Please steer clear if you value your peace and financial freedom. These apartments illegally charged me for utilities, multiple times as well as incorrectly, charging me for amounts. Ignored multiple maintenance request and marked them as complete. I have a ring camera and the manager decided that she wanted to lie to me about posting a notice to my door. Incorrectly charging me for PGE, even though the Account has been in my name since I moved in. These apartment grounds at disgusting , just do the drive-through looking at the complex before you decide to rent 2k in rent and utilities for NO AMENITIES NO ACCOUNTABILITY NO COMMUNICATION . The pool is disgraceful and is always closed . Dog poop everywhere and overflowing dumpsters & messy surroundings due to homeless dumpster diving . ( yes you’ll have to pay for the clean up ! )
These apartments do nothing about noise complaints. The parking lot will sound like a club with blasting music Arguing neighbors and domestic violence. If I could give his apartments to zero, I would . Also overrun by cats and the smell of cat pee is horrible in the...
