Serenity 5 Restaurant & Lounge — Local services in Portsmouth

My husband and I came for some special they had on their facebook page; free entry, $5 drinks, free hookah before 11:30. We got in free which was great, the atmosphere was nearly empty like people just accrued but we got kinda late ish—two drinks cost us $40 we tried to get a hookah however that was $40 alone, when I mentioned the special the nice bartender asked another coworker and stated that isn’t applied for today. The flyer clearly stated it was for 06/20/2025 ( I have many screenshots from good friends/ myself) We got our drinks spent a little time, the atmosphere was empty the whole time. My husband got some mediocre food that he ended up throwing out and getting Wawa instead. I feel scammed, if you’re going to make people pay full price at least say that from the beginning so people aren’t forced into purchasing, as well as $9 gratuity; I would have tipped the young lady either way! She was amazing, just poorly managed....

Everyone thinks I should leave a review so here it is, 0/10 DO NOT recommend. I’m new to the area and the night I came here was my first time experiencing the night life in VA. I ordered food & a fight broke out and they kicked everybody out. I didn’t receive my food so of course I would EXPECT my refund right??? WRONG! I contacted them, I think I spoke to someone named Ricky or something like that, he called me and I explained what happened he had me text him a screenshot of my purchase and when I did he BLOCKED ME. Nice place BUT the service was extremely slow. The staff/owner's tall guys were not pressed to help out or at least greet the customers. The waitress with the red dot was a sweetie. The food was not good at all. We got the steak egg rolls it came with no sauce and a little dry salad shrimp & fries with no cocktail sauce (they were making some up in the back), but it never came out the fries were cold no napkins nothing. Waited over an hour for our drinks we had to go to the bar and ask for them. We enjoyed the entertainment but...
