Reed's Relics — Local services in Potosi

This is absolutely one of my favorite Antique Shops to visit. I shop frequently and stop in every time I'm in Potosi.

The only complaint is the owner has to stop charging customers the 3.5% for using a credit card. This is a total and complete rip off.

The owner makes money on every purchase where a credit card is used. Or, even if they just have to pay that to the credit card company that's THEIR cost of doing business. They should not pass that on to the consumer/shopper.

It's unethical.

And, btw, most businesses who subscribe to this practice only charge 3%. Not 3.5%.

It's an unkind way to thank their customers. Whether we're one-time shoppers and visitors or loyal lifelong fans like myself.

Stop the excessive charge. Just as you have to pay for your electric, water, gas bill to run your business YOU are responsible for the forms of payment you offer. Pay MC and Visa and whomever you use for their service. Don't force that on your customers. It's unfair as...

When TripAdvisor puts Reed's Relics at the top of the list of things to do in Potosi, MO, it's got it right. I've never had a bad experience visiting the burial place of the Father of the Father of Texas (Moses Austin). The town has had to fight the Lone Star State to keep him here. Just across the downtown street is this fantastic vintage retail shop, a place I always visit when I'm in town. They have superb talent putting together their store window to mirror the golden age of small-town shopping. Oh, and don't eat dessert when you try Potosi's restaurants.
