There is a reason the rating for John's shop is so high. Let me lay it out for you: when my truck broke down, John came all the way out to Lansing to pick it up with his truck. When I went in to check, they were SLAMMED and were very behind on their work. John was straight forward and told me this, and I expected it to take some time. Two weeks went by, and of course I was getting anxious, so I called today and asked when it would be done. John said it probably wouldn't be done today, but he would check with his mech. John then offered to stay late to fix my truck, work with my schedule to set up a time for me to pick it up, and arranged payment by phone. I am very busy working 50 hours a week, and John went above and beyond to get this done.

All in all, even if it takes some time, this mechanic is trustworthy, and will make the impossible happen when you need it most. I will be bringing John more business...

If I could give them a 0 I would! If you pay attention a lot of these 5 star ratings come from white people. Whoever was helping my significant other get their car back was very discriminatory towards them assuming they couldn’t afford fees bc they’re a person of color. Overall everyone we interacted with was either rude or acted like they honestly didn’t care about their job. Then when they dropped the vehicle off they left it at the end of our very long driveway, along with throwing the axel with tire still attached to it in the ditch. Durotech and their tow truck operator Josh are awesome. He showed up in exactly 10 minutes after we called him. Before calling Durotech though, we attempted to use AAA roadside assistance. Davis Automotive was dispatched, but after 2.5 hours of them not showing up, we called AAA to be told that Davis had declined to help. That's the second time we have been stung by them. The first time, it was a car repair that wasn't done properly. So, lesson learned this time around. Anyway, thank you Josh and Durotech!...
