Lake Poway Park — Local services in Poway

Whoever is in charge of the Lake Poway concession store is really on top of their game. I am an Avid fisherman and have been to all of the lakes in San Diego. The Lake Poway store is by far one the most organized and well stocked concession stores is ALL of San Diego! From a complete snack selection including ice cream and microwavable frozen food to a COMPLETE tackle inventory. The snacks are delicious and fairly priced. The tackle selection includes high-end swimbaits that you would expect to find in a Bass Pro Shops or larger fishing retail center. The gentleman working the counter was pleasant and all smiles. To top it all off they offer motorboats for 30.00 for the entire day! The bass are large and deep so take your time and enjoy....

Went here to camp on one of the special event days. So much fun, awesome for families. The kids had a blast, they wanted to stay longer but it's a one day event. We also hooked around lake Patty and use the kids playground. So much fun. The playground is super modern. The park has tons of benefits and bbq concrete areas. It also has concrete rings to build a charcoal or propane campfire (no wood fires allowed). So you don't even need your own grill or chairs! Ground was green, grassy but not wet... Which is awesome. Grassy hill so that kids can roll down just like when you were a kid. Fishing is available just check the website for updates. You will need a daily permit to fish. I did not fish...

We are residents, so we go to the Lake regularly, and have for years. This review is in regards to the Pavilion, which we rented for our Mom's memorial service. The Pavilion was modern and clean; the bathrooms inside are super convenient and discreet (there's a small hall separating the Pavilion from the two bathrooms) and I was relieved to find out it had AC (this is not mentioned in the description of the facility). The room could fit 50, but it would be tight; we had 40+ and it was comfortable. Lots of outside light and steps from the lake and store and playground. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
