I gave them 5 stars the first time I went. I complimented how they went above on my car because they cleaned the inside too. Which is why I went back to them for my 2nd repair. I couldn't believe the switch up they made on me after I brought my car back to them to repair my trunk. Fair warning: make sure whatever insurance you are using to repair your car is a “friend” with them, otherwise they will not give you that 5-star treatment. I had to go through a different insurance this time around & from the beginning, they were terrible with phone calls and accepting my requests for repair. Thank God for the Apple update. I literally have Michelle's smart comments and attitude through the phone, on recording. She's nice when she wants to be, but when you have concerns and or questions that are inconvenient for her, it’s a different story. After almost having my car in possession for a month, they told me my car was done with repairs and withheld my car until they had a supplemental payment from my insurance in hand. That alone was a whole goose chase to deal with, both them and the insurance. Once, I knew they were paid on Thursday April 3rd, I called them that afternoon & I was told Alexis needed to do a “final quality check” on my car. Why wasn’t this done already since it was “ready” like Michelle claimed 1000x. They finally get back to me Friday morning 9am , also a day that they close at 11am instead of 5:30pm, giving me 2 hours to figure out how to pay for my car. I was at work and left the bank to get a new card, due to my rental car being extended while they held my car hostage. That gave me TWO hours to figure it out. I left work and rushed to the bank. I was given a hard time by the bank lady that issued my car because she heard me on the phone with Candy Apple asking for more time and thought I was rushing her, when I was not. Michelle was not willing to wait a few minutes after this extra-early closing time to allow me to pay after short notice. Alexis gratefully was. I also get a text that they had to jump my car because of a weak car battery, when the truth was that my car lights were left on, so the battery died. My car battery never has in the past and hasn’t until this day, died. If the battery is so weak, why haven’t I had to jump it since I’ve had my car and since I picked it up ? One worker claimed it was jumped once, another worker claimed it had to be jumped multiple times. What’s the truth?. AND to toop it allllll off. I come get my car that Friday to pick-up after hours , press my remote key, as I usually do to open it, and my car remote key does not work. It was 100% working before I gave it to them, but for the sake of peace, I thought maybe it coincidentally died while they had it. I bought 4 new remote batteries to replace it. It still wouldn’t work. It wasn’t the remote battery. They didn’t and don’t know how to reprogram my car key to whatever new trunk part they put on my car. I went back to them after calling them about this issue and the manager spent 40 minutes trying to fix, going back and forth to my car and slamming the door over and over, only to conclude that my remote could’ve been broken before they received it. I had to get family on the phone to hear their refusal to take any responsibility. They will manipulate you to cover their tracks and will say you were difficult to work with as if you weren’t the victim. When they don’t want to take accountability for their actions, I can assure that they will put the...
Read moreI have done business with this body shop for over 25 years including some work this past July, but the results have been getting worse and worse. After having my car for over a week in July, when I went to pick it up when they told me it was ready, they had failed to replace a pin strip and there were black metal shavings inside one of the headlights. We had to wait for over an hour to pick up the car. Well, today ended my relationship with this business for good. I had an accident yesterday which was the fault of an Atlanta construction company. They took responsibility and just needed me to get a couple of estimates. Reluctantly I decided to give Candy Apple another shot. When I went in they informed me that I had to have an appointment to get an estimate. I had never had to have an appointment before the woman behind the desk informed me that they had been doing this since she started there in May of this year. I quickly informed her that I had work done in July and did not have to have an appointment for the estimate and she all but called me a liar and told me it had to have been earlier in the year. I asked her to look it up and it was July. I politely explained that I had to go out of town this afternoon and would be gone for two weeks and asked if she could squeeze me in and that I would wait if needed. She not only said no, she gave me the name of a different body shop (which turned out to be a dump). Never again Candy Apple. By the help wanted signs I assume you must be short handed. If I was going to have to wait a week for a 10 minute estimate, I don't want to think how long it would have taken to have the work done. Over the next 2 hours I went to 3 different body shops and got...
Read moreDon’t waste your time. Overall communication very poor. We had to get repairs done at another shop. They kept our vehicle for almost a month, and not only lied about the ETA multiple times, but when it was “finally ready” we show up and it’s not ready. A couple of days later.. it finally was done, However, there is visible paint drip in multiple areas that they themselves agreed to be too visible, there are still multiple scuff marks, and a part in the back bumper was either damaged or not replaced from the wreck. We had to take our vehicle elsewhere. Shop did offer to repair it again, but after wasting our time and just poor communication there’s really nothing left for them to do. We would rather take it elsewhere than deal with their general managers poor attitude and the lack of honesty and communication. We understand these repairs take weeks, and all we needed was an honest and transparent answer with the repair finish date. However, one thing was said over the phone on 3 separate occasions, GM said another thing upon arrival and our vehicle wasn’t finished being repaired. Lack of empathy and disregard for the whole situation, no apologies, no accountability taken. Just save yourself the trouble!! Also upon arrival another customer was extremely upset over work not completed and he was charged for. He was pointing out paint drop and other things he said he paid for specifically! Which is what made it more than obvious that we were not bringing...
