I love the CABELA'S HOODIES!!! The joke between my husband, who works in the DC, and myself is I don't work there yet I have at least 20~25 Cabela's hoodies and he has two or three!!! All joking aside I have to say that's every time I where in the hoodies and turn around and wash and dry them they do not lose their shape, they do not shrink, and that goes for both women and men's because I will find a color scheme that I didn't have and say women's and I'll go ahead and grab it versus the men's same type of thing and I will grab one of there's. The stitching on the hoodie itself, which says very largely on the front of the hoodie "CABELA'S", I definitely have to say that again no matter how many times I have washed and dried them the embroidery/stitching has never started to come apart and any of the hoodies that I personally own, my husband owns, ones that we bought for gifts for our grandchildren, our children, and friends and family over all. in fact they are so impressed with the manufacturing the material anyting that has to do with the hoodie everyone I speak to speaks very highly of the Cabela's hoodies. We also really like the candy that is sold in the Cabela's store. I will usually buy two bags of the carmel's as my big boy, my baby, My Sammy, he absolutely adores the caramels so I have to be careful when I open 1 or where I open it because he'll hear the wrapper and he will know immediately that it is for a Carmel. The jewelry for example the Black hills gold and amethyst earrings and necklace set are absolutely gorgeous I get compliments all the time when I wear them and I take such good care of them as I am afraid I might lose an earring or something to that effect. I definitely have to say the jewelry is absolutely beautiful and would be a great gift for a mother, wife, or even a girlfriend. I fully understand that Bass Pro shops has bought out Cabela's, and of course with that comes change. and one of the changes I hoped would not happen was the Cave. I honestly could find so many awesome great wonderful items at a decent price. Any of the items either my husband or I would purchase through the cave, we never had any issues as far as bad sitting in the clothing, the boots not holding up, but overall finding those hidden gems in there and now that is something I will definitely miss. If you have never been to a Cabela's store or have not ordered online from Cabela's, I would definitely recommend you give it a shot especially if you are into the outdoors. they have camouflage for all the different seasons, and basically any and everything you would need to go hunting, hiking, camping, and fishing. I hope that's my experience with being an outsider of cabela yet knowing some of the ends from my husband working there, was super helpful and I hope you give them a shot and they also do offer gift cards and those are a great gift item especially for and that person in your life who is hard to buy for. When I asked them I was told by Dylan there were none left in stock. He was then corrected by another employee. When the rifle was brought out I said yes please let’s do up the paperwork.
I am active duty and home on leave. I’m still a Wisconsin resident(I pay Wisconsin taxes, have my home of record in Wisconsin etc). However being stationed in another state I have a driver license from there. So when it came time for paperwork I presented my out of state license with my military ID and offered a copy of my orders and a statement of service (this lists my home of record on it).
After not being able to help Dylan called for his supervisor Jill. She was going through the paperwork and saying we don’t do these often. Which I fully understand. However after about 45 mins of back and fourth with what paperwork they needed and their system etc. I was told she did not feel comfortable selling me the rifle today and I could come back in a day or 2 after she talked to her supervisor.
Where this might not seem like a big deal to most. I have a limited amount of time at home. A trip over here cuts into that time. I really don’t need the gun tonight, but the drive time and the time spent in the store starts to really add up.
On top of all of this, I purchased 2 other guns today from another business. With the same forms of identification and paperwork.
Cabela’s just lost a customer tonight, one that won’t be coming back. I understand that 1 person won’t kill their business and this will fall on deaf ears, but I hope this review helps anyone else in a similar situation to myself before you take the time to...
Read morePrairie Du Chien Cabelas has some of the worst customer service of any store I have ever visited in my life. I dread even going in the store but when I need something, I need something. It usually takes me about 10-15 minutes to get any help in ISP, and just last week I waited for 25 minutes in Footwear for an Outfitter before deciding to leave. I also would like to add that there is ALWAYS someone in the front trying to sell everyone CLUB cards(sometimes 2 or 3 people). So it's more important to sell cards but not actually help your customers?? Usually there is only 1 or maybe 2 checkout lanes open and, lines grow fast. Checkout is very slow and sometimes a person can stand there for 10-15 minutes.
Also, recently I have noticed Cabela's is starting to carry more items online than what they actually have in store. It seems that anything I am interested in buying has to ship from the manufacturer. I needed a pair of shoes and had 3 options, all of which weren't carried in store. I was told that I needed to order them, and that I would have to pay for all 3 in order to even look at them. If I wanted to buy items online I would go to Amazon. I went to Cabela's to physically look at and try on shoes. It's ridiculous that you expect me to pay for 3 pairs of shoes that are all in the $100 range.
