Ladies and gentlemen, You have found your man! I received a preliminary price quote (over the phone) of $99, to replace my broken iPad screen, the gentleman's name was Frank. As a man with forty years of customer service and sales experience, I take notice, and form an initial impression of a person, and his business in "short order." Does the business answer the phone immediately? Does the person answering the phone have a professional and courteous manner? Do they want to earn my business?
I called Frank, and found him to be courteous, patient in answering my questions, professional, and soft spoken. I dropped of my iPad yesterday at his shop in Crystal Lake. I found his "store front" shop to be signed nicely, clean, and professional looking (again, I notice these things). Frank was "clean cut," middle aged, professionally attired, and polite. In short, "if you don't like Frank, you don't like people," period! Nice gentleman!
Frank inspected my iPad, advised me that there would be an additional $30 charge to repair three damaged edges, in addition to installing the new screen. Grand total; $130.31
I was advised that he would call me when the repair work was completed. A couple of hours later he called and said that the work was done. Amazing turn around time!
(10) point scale (ratings as follows)
Professionalism and customer service (10)
Quality of workmanship (10)
Value (price paid for the service received) (*10) *keep in mind, he has (business expenses) rent, insurance, utilities, and so forth. You also pay for his knowledge, experience, and skill. I felt the price I paid was reasonable and competitive (based on another quote).

Read moreI went to this facility to have someone there look at my phone. I have an iphone 12 and randomly the screen went completely black and stopped working. I researched on my laptop anything and everything I could do to fix my iphone and nothing was working. I started looking at the cost to buy an entire new phone screen and have it replaced at a tech repair shop and was frustrated to know that it could potentially cost me $300 for a phone screen... for a phone that was a little over a year old and on top of that I was so confused because my phone was working perfectly fine the day before and I had not dropped it or anything, after spending an entire day in complete distress, I looked online to find a local repair shop to bring my phone to and I saw this place had an entire 5 stars! I now know why! The guy in the shop was very nice and I explained the situation to him and handed my phone over. He played around with my phone and actually got it turned on! He went as far to explain to me that there is nothing wrong that I did to my phone but that the Iphone 12's and 13's are having similar screen issues. He was very knowledgeable, very kind and genuinely seemed like someone who just wanted to help. He had a lot of great information for me and I really appreciated his time and he did not charge me a dime. (Which was reasonable considering he just had to reset my phone) but regardless I know some tech places that would be dying to just charge me for a new screen. I don't know if there are multiple people that work there or not but the guy I spoke to was really great. Definitely 5 stars and if I have any more tech issues I will be going back there, and truthfully I never...
Read moreAfter I had Accidentally ripped the connection of my fan from the motherboard of my PS5 I called around and got a lot of people telling me they wouldn't know if they could fix it till they opened it up. The Gentleman here when I talked to him and told him what I had done and that the leads had come off with it. He told me he could fix it, no problem. Everyone else had been wishy washy with me, he was rather friendly but firm in his response.
So while it was a bit out of the way for me, I decided to bring it here to get fixed. This man didn't sound like he was confident just for the sake of a sale. No, this Man fixed what others sounded like they had no confidence in even trying. His age wisdom and experience shined through.
While it did take half a week longer then he first said it would. It was not his fault. He explained the process and kept things transparent. The delay was the glue he needed for the repair wasn't working right, so he had to order new. He is so determined to make sure the repair is right and won't fail, vs a quick turn around for the sake of it. He wants to make sure things are done right before sending it back to you.
Furthermore, he qoated me $150.00 for this repair, cleaning and replacing of the liquid metal for the processor. Others were giving me higher prices with less then reasuring answers. While he was cheaper. The quality seamed far superior.
I hightly recommend and my PS5 seams to be running even quiter then brand new. And yes the fan is...
