I needed to replace the stylus on my Shure R1000XT turntable cartridge and decided to support a local business instead of sourcing parts from the internet. I took my cartridge down to AZ TV Worx in hopes that they would have what I needed in stock. I spoke with Chris (I think that's his name, usually wearing a "Kendall's Famous Burgers" hat), and unfortunately they did not have the correct stylus in stock, but he said that they could order it. I was told It would be $30 and that it would arrive in about 3-4 days. Almost 2 weeks later I receive a call stating that the stylus was in and ready to be picked up, albeit at a 25% higher price than initially stated. During this time, I purchased a cheap, $15 stylus off of the internet to have as a backup. I brought this stylus in with me to compare to the now $40 stylus they were trying to sell me. Upon comparison it was clear that the cheap stylus that I had purchased, and the $40 stylus that they got for me, were identical "chinesium". They both had faded black plastic frames, opaque flip down guards, and identical packaging. I politely refused the purchase on the basis of the 25% price increase that they didn't even bother to okay with me before placing the order, and the fact that they were charging a 165% markup on the stylus claiming it wasn't "eBay junk". Chris then, obviously agitated, begins to twist and yank the stylus from my cartridge, breaking the plastic body off of the stylus stem. He then proceeded to use pliers to free the needle and stem from my cartridge. Once freed, he TOSSES my vintage cartridge onto the counter and walks away. Once home I tested the cartridge with the original stylus, but it was no longer producing aounds on the left channel. So either it was damaged when Chris carelessly tossed it onto the counter, or when they shoved the incorrect stylus in there. So, in my experience, if you want to be treated poorly and have your delicate, vintage equipment abused and damaged, then go to AZ TV Worx. Otherwise, if you value your equipment, go somewhere else......

AND I WAS GREETED KINDLY AND REASSURED TO NOT WORRY. THEY FIXED MY STEREO IN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS AND PUT EVEN HIGHER GRADE PARTS IN IT FOR ME AND IT WORKS WONDERFUL. THESE GUYS DEFINITELY GIVE YOU THE SENSE OF WHAT THIS TOWN HAS LOST IN A WAY OF A SMALL TOWN KIND ATMOSPHERE. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED TO COME HERE GUYS THEY ALSO SELL A LOT OF HIGH-END AWESOME EQUIPMENT SOUND EQUIPMENT ETC PLEASE GIVE THEM THE CHANCE AND CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF. AWESOME LOCAL BUSINESS! HAD A HOME THEATER RECEIVER GIVE ME A RED BLINKING LIGHT OF DOOM. CALLED TV WORX THEY TOLD ME BRING IT IN SO THEY CAN LOOK AT IT. BROUGHT IT IN TOLD ME TO GIVE THEM ABOUT A WEEK SHOULD HAVE A DIAGNOSIS FOR ME, NOT A PROBLEM. CALLED ME TWO DAYS LATER SAID THEY HAD A DIAGNOSIS . WOW! GAVE ME A PRICE WE AGREED ON THEY MOVED FORWARD WITH REPAIRS. TOLD ME AN ETA OF ABOUT A WEEK TO GET PARTS AND HAVE TIME TO REPAIRS. 3 DAYS LATER TOLD ME ITS DONE AND TESTED. AWESOME! PICKED IT UP THEY WENT OVER AGAIN WHAT FAILED AND THE POSSIBLE ITEMS I SHOULD CHECK AT HOME BEFORE PLUGGING THE UNIT BACK IN. FOUND THE FAULT AT HOME REPAIRED IT AND HAVE BEEN ENJOYING THE UNIT SINCE. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK TO DO MORE BUSINESS. THEY UNDER PROMISED AND OVER DELIVERED, ANSWERED ANY QUESTION I HAD.
