For the price of VIP, I totally thought it was worth it considering it was my actual true birthday, and my all time FAVORITE band headlining (seen em prolly over a hundred times throughout my years) AND I was FRONT ROW!!! ALL 3 bands were absolutely impressive, especially given their ages! HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE leaving the show to get back to Mystic Lake hotel. Show ended at 11:15pm. Arrival at hotel was 1:20am!!! 2 miles away from venue, yet over 2 hours from getting back to hotel. Not worth the headache! Lyft and uber wanted over $90 to go the couple miles from venue to hotel plus the wait which was equal to the "free shuttle" wait. I'm all for supporting local, non profit fundraisers, but this is the second time I've been extremely disappointed in how this event was run. Wait... Did I mention, Styx t-shirts have on the back that they played in PRIOR LAKE, MI?! For $45 each... Anyone ever been to, or heard of Prior Lake being located in Michigan??? I looked and looked yet never found such a city in Michigan. Seems Google isn't aware of such location either. 🙄 Chalk that $90 for 2 different shirts up to ahem "DONATIONS" 🤣 🙄
Stay BLESSED all... Just sharing my truth regarding...
Read moreThe logistics of entry and exit were among the worst I have ever seen. We got into a line of thousands at 609. The first band, the one I drove 4 hours for, and wanted to see the most, started at 610. 20 minutes early. While STILL in line at 7, I asked someone in a blue lakefront polo shirt who wouldn't give me her name, why they started early. She tried to tell me they started on time at 630 and was promptly shut down by everyone around me as I wasn't the only one who heard them start. I missed the entire set by 38 special. The one I came to see. Lines upon lines for everything. Buy drink tickets just to move to your right to get a drink when it would be faster just to go up and buy a drink. Leaving? Funnel thousands of people to one exit to find busses that are not in the place they dropped you off. Dangerous. I know for me to even think about going again it had better be one hell of a band. And I am not the only very disappointed person there. I didn't hear one positive comment about the execution of any part...
Read moreMusic is great and I am always surprised at the talent they get. The drink choices I am highly disappointed in. They all have to sell the same generic purified water (which costs them probably 2.99 for 24 water but charge $3.00 a bottle) which I think is way too expensive. They sell"freshly squeezed" lemonade that is powder form (tell me how that's freshly squeezed) for $7 a 32oz cup. Then Pepsi products. And a blue Gatorade... Not a flavor that is a high seller. Not even in the top 5 flavors according to Gatorade. How about different water choices like spring water other choices for pop and how about ice tea or other lemonade flavors for non-pop and alcohol drinkers. As I said the Music is outstanding but it is becoming an overpriced, blah event that won't allow it's food vendors to sell their own drink choices. Open the choices up and maybe you'd make more money instead of all having to conform to one mold! Choose to...
