Kudos to the owners for hiring a great staff, I have no issues with the beer but they need a beer that raises the bar over other brew pubs in the area to survive in this very competitive business. The beer is excellent but the choices are somewhat limited depending on what time of the week you go. I would highly recommend Boat House based on the Hospitality of the employees.
update: after a year of business I have been going once a week their and im very happy with the owners and staff they have always been very nice and helpful towards finding that perfect beer for me I understand that is a challenge to match a persons perosnal taste profile for ever customer and must be very frustrating as a owner to make everyone happy but they have shown that this a a task they are willing to take on so as I go to other brewerys to tray other things I'm alway finding myself back at boathouse for more of the same that I enjoy at this brew pub it is a must try if you are from out of the area and looking for good beer. Emmit and Kevin and staff will treat you right here, their my be better beer somewhere else for your taste proflle and until you learn what you like this place has by far the best owners to explain how the beer is brewed and flavor profile works for you to make a better decision on what you like this is a great starting piont to explore your own profile for the...

Yo, listen up beer fam ā I just got absolutely wrecked (in the best possible way) by the liquid wizardry happening at Boat House Brothers Brewing. My taste buds are writing thank-you notes as we speak.
First off, Emmitt⦠my guy⦠youāre a total G. This dude doesnāt just brew beer ā he straight-up summons it from the hop heavens. Itās like heās got cheat codes for dankness. You ever sip something so perfectly balanced between haze, juice, and dank resin that you start questioning your life choices up to this point? Yeah. That happened.
Iām talkinā IPAs so fresh they could run for office. Stouts thicker than my cousin Vinnyās accent. Pilsners that slap harder than a wet towel in a locker room. Every pour is like a TED Talk for your palate.
The taproom vibe? Pure bro-topia. You walk in and the air just smells like barley, hops, and achievement unlocked. And the regulars? All chill, no gatekeeping ā just a bunch of hop-heads and malt maniacs vibinā together.
Bottom line: Boat House Brothers Brewing is the Disneyland for beer nerds, and Emmitt is Mickey Mouse if Mickey wore a flat brim, crushed tallboys, and could dropkick you into hop nirvana.
Would I recommend? Bro⦠Iād tattoo the logo on my forearm if I didnāt already have a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place looks great, I'm a currently reside in PL and love the historic downtown area, great location and was so excited for a craft brewery close to home. The staff is always quick to serve and friendly, the owners I've gotten to meet both times we've been there and they are obviously very passionate about thier work. Three stars because, as much as I want to like the beer, I don't seem to. It just doesn't seem to be the best quality to me. And I know that's objective, but I've yet to find at least one beer I didn't like at a brewery before. Both times we were in (a week after opening and about three months later) about half the menu was crossed out and the beers I tried were not my favorite. My husband and I are big craft beer, untapped, growler, its-what-we-do-with-our-weekends kind of people and we know there's sometimes a struggle going from brewing in your garage to brewing for a filled-to-the-brim taproom (we've seen it with other breweries who are now adjusting much better), and I'm so hopeful that the process becomes smoother for them over time and thier beers become consistant in taste. I'm rooting for them, really want to see them succeed, really want to find a beer I can enjoy there. Going to give it a little time maybe, and then head back in for...
