Trulieve Punta Gorda Dispensary — Local services in Punta Gorda

My husband went to Trulieve Punta Gorda this past Friday to get his prescription. When he was leaving he grabbed his bag and mistakenly grabbed the cashiers phone and put it in his pocket. A few hours later 3 cops show up at our front door and told him that he stole a phone. STILL not realizing that he accidentally grabbed her phone he told them they were wrong and he didn’t know what they were talking about! After they told him that he was on camera sticking a phone in his pocket at Trulieve, he checked his pocket and sure enough he had her phone. He immediately gave the phone to the officers, apologized, and explained that he had no idea he grabbed her phone until that moment. At that point Trulieve was closed so the next morning we went into the store so he could apologize and explain that he grabbed it by mistake… The cashier got extremely upset put her hand up in the air to shut him up said he was a thief and he was banned from the store to get out!! He still told her “ I just came to say I am sorry and I didn’t realize I grabbed your phone it was genuinely a mistake” She then proceeded to say “GET OUT I don’t care Im pressing charges on you” she closed the door in our face & continued talk bad about him. The other employee said “ I know your husband he’s here all the time and I’ve always had a pleasant experience with him but it’s out of my hands” and apologized.

I just don’t understand how a person can’t comprehend that he grabbed the phone by mistake! Not only is she pressing charges but he is now banned from all the Trulieve stores. UNBELIEVABLE!!

We have 4 kids that all have cell phones and so do we. There is no reason for him to steal her phone. ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!! She has her phone back. She can see that he never even tried to open it or use it. He literally didn’t even know it was in his pocket until the police showed up at our door! Im leaving this review because this is extremely frustrating and after calling to speak to a manager they couldn’t even help because she already put the ban and is pressing charges. (I cannot wrap my head around her not seeing that IT WAS A MISTAKE!!) My husband is not a thief he owns a business and we work very hard for what we have. There is NO way he would intentionally...

Made a whole other gmail to leave another review. Came in about a week ago and Lynn took very good care of me and really made my day better when I wasn’t feeling my best at all. Really appreciate her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond. Mike is always making sure everything is running smoothly and efficiently and it’s noticeable, also a sweet guy. Patrick always makes you feel welcome. Always opening the door for you when he can, always happy and being positive and it’s genuine. They got a really good team going at this one. There are a few other employees I can’t remember the names of but everyone here is pretty lovely gotta say.

There’s always great selection, great deals and an easier location to get into than the one in port charlotte (whoever designed that parking lot should be figuratively shot btw, I always feel like I’m gonna get in an accident- those who know- know what I am talking about.) Most of all though, you never wait long and always leave with a smile.

Ive been to all the Trulieve’s from Bonita Springs to Sarasota and this one takes the cake. Thanks guys and I hope corperate recognizes this store and its staff. Do something nice for them to show them their hard work and effort isn’t for nothing.

side note - management here is fantastic as well and all the employees love her too. She is obviously doing something very right you guys. *coughs in corporate...

I normally like this place but tonight I went there and some boy wasn't even supervised! His mom was in the back shopping and the boy was alone w the front desk. The boy kept on running around and playing w the broom and touching things he's not supposed to but he's too young to know that...really bad for business to have a child run around unsupervised not to mention if anything happens youre employees could be held responsible..do you guys not protect and care for your employees? The woman even admitted how her little boy is a handful each time! How is a mom allowed to leave her child let alone one that can't sit and stay for safety reasons...plus a boy his age should not be left alone period..someone needs to call dcf on that mom shes clearly not fit...I know you're employees can't help what others do but have every right to say leave and no one says anything thats bad business and wreckless...I'm beyond disturbed a mother would bring her child to a marijuana store let alone leave them alone and how youre employees allow this a lot! Clearly don't care about employees getting into a situation and a child getting into things they shouldnt!how can anyone watch a mom leave a child alone and not say anything 😂 lol pathetic and...
