Another Great Dish We popped in for lunch the other day and I had my favorite Hot and Sour Soup and my wife had to try the Crispy Duck ($20.95). She loves duck and it’s not offered in too many places. My soup was great as always. The Crispy Duck was fabulous. A large half duck breast was perfectly fried with a light, crispy coating, then cut into strips and set atop a bed of mixed vegetables. As we ate in, they had a second plate with rice and a cup of a savory dipping sauce that probably had soy sauce, black bean paste and some other Chinese secret spices. This must have been on jumbo duck as there was a lot of food here. So much so that she had lunch the next day with the leftovers. Great dish No. 1 Wok!

Great Food, Great Prices We’re always looking to try a new Chinese restaurant and found this one yesterday. Located just down from Muscle Car City, this place looks like all the other strip mall Chinese eateries. A few tables for dine in, a counter over which hangs the ever popular photos of Chinese dishes and an open view of the cooking area. They actually advertise themselves as ‘Chinese N Thai” and their menu is quite expansive. There is a wide variety of Lunch Specials, priced from $8.79 to $9.49 that include either a can of soda or an egg roll, and pork fried rice. My wife ordered the Chicken with Mixed Vegetables with a can of soda for $8.79. I ordered a Large Hot and Sour Soup, not a Lunch special, but priced well at $6.29 for a quart, $3.99 for a pint. Everything is made fresh and their take-out lunch business is brisk so we had maybe a ten minute wait. We did eat in. My wife’s lunch was packaged in a large foam box that most restaurants offer for left over take homes. The box was full, about 1/3 pork fried rice and the rest was the chicken and veggies in a whitish sauce, steaming hot. Loaded with chicken and a nice variety of crisp cooked veggies. My wife really enjoyed it and ate the whole thing. My soup was outstanding! Dark and silky, loaded with tofu, celery, carrot, mushrooms, and who knows what else, and I think the best flavor I’ve ever had. Not too vinegary sour, not too loaded with pepper flakes and I think I detected some ginger and maybe a little sugar. And I’m surprised the container didn’t melt as the temperature of the soup had to be just shy of boiling. The soup was accompanied with a bag of crispy fried won-ton strips that I like to drop into the soup while I’m eating. As planned, I ate half and brought home the rest to enjoy again today for lunch. We did see that they had duck dishes on the menu and the very personable gentleman at the counter told us the duck dishes were quite popular. There are nine other soups to try also. They have a good website and are not afraid to post their prices. We’re going...

Was excited to have a chinese place so close to home when we moved to punta gorda. The first time we had it in August 2017 everything was great and seemed very fresh however we've eaten there since then maybe 3 +times and everytime it gets worse and worse... when you call they come across rude , they say "what you want?" No Hello, hi or anything each and everytime. When you go there they barely notice you walk in of course no friendly greeting at all all i could see from the counter as we were paying were dirty dishes piled up and a few people just sitting around at the front desk. Got the food home we ordered red curry, spring rolls & fried dumplings. The springrolls were still doughy and not very warm, the dumplings were soggy and the meat looked a tiny bit pink the sauce looked lighter in color and tasted watered down just plain funky. Curry was okay. Hour or two later my husband has a stomach ache and now diarrhea... 😑 We usually eat at home he hadn't eaten much of anything today and now his stomach is upset with indegestion and diarrhea shortly after eating there, i feel fine so far knock on wood but i only ate one dumpling and the curry my shrimp in the curry did seem kinda gooey and soft but overall tasted fine just a weird texture.... We will not be back, terrible experience! Seems like they are going...

I just ordered tonight for the 2nd time. I just moved here June 6th. 1st time chick and broccoli had a funny taste and I think bc I ordered it hot and spicy. Let it go. They have no clue!! I'm from NW Jersey where real food comes from and they did not cut it!! Tonight I decided to give them a 2nd try since they were recommend by Blue Heron Pines residents. What a mistake . I ordered butterflied shrimp with bacon, costly and got sweet and sour butterfly shrimp with bacon!!! Who does that? My shrimp toast was black . Soooo when I called to express my displeasure , they took me off their list to order there ever again!! Who does that again!! Who runs their business model? Any recommendations for a new REAL Chinese / Schezuan that delivers in the Punta Gorda area? I give them a #1 for food and management!! Not...

We had some expectations based on the reviews we read, so that's part of the 2 star rating. We had our food delivered. We were definitely less than impressed. The Mongolian Beef was mostly onions with very little Beef. The Vegetable Chow Mein did not have any chow mein noodles, not what we expected. The Bourbon chicken was the best dish mostly because it had some chunks of Chicken. The Shrimp with snow peas was just okay. The Orange chicken was dry and chewy, not sure if that's because we had it delivered? And the Spring rolls were mostly rap with very little filling. Overall, we could have gotten better from Panda Express for nearly half the price. Sorry No. 1 Wok, I really don't like to give such low ratings 😞. We will keep looking for our go-to Chinese restaurant.

I love how simple it was to order online on my phone. Loved the general tso's chicken and honey garlic chicken. Hot and sour soup was great also. I've never been a big fan of Chinese take places but this place was very clean with friendly staff that communicated well. I arrived about 5 minutes after ordering from my phone and they kept me up to date on about much time the food would be ready in. I live about 15 miles for this place and would definitely go back! North Cape residents, it's worth the drive! Large potions for the price. My husband and I both ate dinner and were super full. This picture shows what we couldn't finish, so much left over. After about a 25 min drive home, the food was still scolding hot and I needed to let it cool.
