Ordered an air conditioner online after visiting the store because it was not in stock. At this time I asked the employee at customer service about their return policy. She told me that I had seven days to return for any reason. I had the unit delivered to the store just in case there were any problems with the purchase. I was notified that it had arrived at the store, so I stopped in to pick it up. The same customer service employee was there to assist me and went to print a receipt and at that time another employee named Miranda began to take over. I asked her about the return policy, just to be sure it was seven days, and she said there is no return policy. Immediately the first employee that has been helping me all along, took off very quickly as if to get away from the situation. I told Miranda that the other lady said I had seven days. Miranda said that if the box was not opened at all, and the tape was still intact, I could bring it back. I said it seemed a little ridiculous to me how I would know if it was damaged or broken, if I didn't open the box. I then asked for a manager, her name was Samantha. She greeted me with all smiles and extended her hand for a hand shake, which we did. She asked me what the concern was and she agreed with me that there was a seven day return policy even after opening the box. Miranda stepped in and said that wasn't what the policy reads. Now Samatha gets irate and tells me that we are going with what Miranda stated. I said that isn't what you just told me and she lost her cool. She slammed her hand down on the counter repeatedly telling me to read the policy. I called corporate right then and there and they told me I could return it in seven days opened or not. Corporate agreed that it was ridiculous that a customer could not return a purchase even if the package was open. After all this, I asked for a refund, which they granted, left the store empty handed, and very...
Read moreI went to Home Depot in Punta Gorda Florida to buy counter tops for the existing cabinets for my kitchen. The process started out very good until the contractor that Home Depot hires to do the fabrication and installation came to look at my kitchen and make the template of the cabinets. As soon as the contractor pulled in my driveway I could tell that it was going to be a bad experience.
First off, when the contractor called to set up the appointment to measure I asked them if they could measure with the old counters on the cabinets and they told me that they needed to come off. So I had to cancel that appointment because it took longer than expected to remove the old counters then I showed the contractor (IMEX)the sink I wanted installed into the new counter tops and without even looking at the box he said that they won't install the sink and I would need to buy one of theirs. OK what ever.. next he came and put a level on my cabinets and said that they wouldn't install the new counters on my old cabinets because they weren't level. He staged the level on the cabinets to show that they were out of level. When I questioned him on how he took the pictures he got very angry and his attitude got even worse. At that point I got very upset about how he was treating me in my own house I just told him never mind and leave my property. I will not be treated disrespectfully in my own house.
I went back to Home Depot to cancel the order. At that point The woman that handles the customer installs charged me 100.00 for cancelling the appointment and and basically called me a liar about my side of the story. So never again will I use Home Depot for any installations projects.
I've used Lowes many times in the past for doors and windows, kitchen cabinets, carpet and kitchen counter tops and was never treated with such disrespect. I would recommend checking out Lowes for all your installation needs and stay away from Home...
Read moreWell i Went there to buy paint for my driveway, because i hired a painter to paint it the next day. So I went there one evening and talked to an older gentleman who was working there in the paint department . I told him what i was looking for, and he took me to the isle that had cement paint, he was reading all the labels and the brochures. He asked me how many square feet it was and i told him that it will hold about One and 3/4âs cars in each half as it is a 2 car garage. So after 20 minutes or more he showed me this 5 gallon bucket of paint that said Granite paint for cement and driveways. @ $312.00 so he shook it up and i left with it. So my painter came back to paint the freshly power washed driveway. Took him about 2 or 3 hours. and he nearly got it covered. He said if i brought more that he would come back and touch it up. So the next daybWe went out to look at it and it looked pretty bad, It was all splochy in looking. Well I decided to wait another day and see if it would look better after drying another day. But it looked the same and i was really worried that I would get a letter from the HOA telling me to fix it, or get fined. So the more I thought about it the madder I got so I took pics and video of the Splochy looking driveway and went back to HD and went to the customer service and she called the manager of the paint department, Gisselle, and she looked at my pictures and video and decided that i needed more paint. I told her how I came into the store and asked a worker for help and the whole story. so she was nice to tell me if i brought one she would give me one free. So I brought them because I needed the driveway to look better then it did, and I would get fined by the HOA, and i didnât want that! Well we got the second coat on and today it doesnât...
