Had an aftermarket installation of a roof rack on a new Toyota Tacoma and a small water leak started. Took it back and they placed silicone in the screws, only to have the leak continue. Now they brushed me off. Not fixed properly. BEWARE! Check and research any potential roof rack installation on your vehicle and make sure they will guarantee NO LEAKS. You'd think they would relook at it and try to solve their installation, especially after a good customer has already spent thousands for a brush guard, step rails and now a leaky roof rack. Quick to sell truck accessories, but watch installations and don't expect good installs or customer service. Follow Up: Since the leak never stopped, and still no help from the previous business, I went to "Stuff For Trucks" off of Fern Valley Rd in Louisville. They diagnosed the issue and had me fixed up in no time. Bad install and improper aftermarket sealant used. They now have my additional business for more Taco accessories (Light Bar, Cargo Box and Wench). Again, watch installs and pick a business who cares about...
Read moreWent to this shop on June 3rd, 2024 to have wheels, tires, and a lift kit installed.
I'll start with the good: Everyone was super nice and very easy to deal with.
Now the bad (Some of which is my fault for not researching more):
Overcharged me roughly $500 in parts alone, (this includes the TPMS sensors and new lug nuts that were forgotten on the day I got the quote that the manager gave me for free).
They charged me 9 hours of labor for a job that according to the Teraflex website takes roughly 5 hours. (Mounting and balancing the tires and alignment were separate charges.)
Did not follow the instructions included with the lift kit which forced me to fix what they did incorrectly, Teraflex even has a video showing the install.
Front tires were not balanced correctly (I found this out after I went and confronted them about the other mistakes.)
I will close by saying the manager said he would make it up to me the next time I needed my Jeep modified,...
Read moreI have been in a few custom truck/Jeep shops. Now almost every one I've been in I've been greeted with a miserable attetude from the store clerks. In my experience they treat you like you should come in and know exactly what you want and if you take to long breathing their air the service gets worse.
Not at Kentucky Jeep and Truck in Etown. My wife and I came in close to closing time and met Justin. He treated us with down home respect like we were old friends. I told him what I was looking for, he made suggestions, gave alternatives for cost and even price matched the web price of the item I wanted.
I will be bringing my business here. I would rather spend my money locally and get friendly advice and people that stand by their sale then roll the dice on the...
