I really like this place, they have a good selection and allow you to pre-order, they have a awesome variation of people working that seem to be able to help you with whatever it is you're trying to find, or they know who to ask to get you that info quickly. If you are new to something they do not try to oversell something the suggestions they make reasonable and even if someone did try to upsell it's usually a beneficial item or something to consider later. It's done without pressure and with reason. To me that's really important, my kiddos are finally getting into my nerdy things, but there's new nerdy things, and let's face it, nerdy hobbies, can be expensive. Unlike some other stores in the area which I will not name, you do not feel, like you were less than or stupid shopping here. They also don't follow you or, make you feel like you're doing something wrong if you take too long looking at things (it takes one of my kids a little bit of time to read) They're also honest, when they don't know how something works, and that is equally as important. I gave this 5 stars and I stand by that, I have one critique about the store and it's not even a big thing, not enough I feel to take away from the stars. I kind of wish the store was organized a little different, the store is like a transformer and is more than meets the eye đ. You wouldn't know it if you didn't need to go back in this one section. If this experience was unique to me, I wouldn't put it on here, but it turns out I am far from the only one. Basically if you don't need any miniature paint you may not notice, this notification board in the back that has all these flyers with various events and tournaments, not only that but there's a whole other room for gaming!! Honestly, I didn't even pay attention to it the first couple times, I thought that hallway led to the office area possibly and didn't pay it any attention, I asked about something, and the dude at the register told me about it. Turns out they do tournaments and lots of things for kiddos. I like many others apparently thought they just used the tables up at the front of the store. They may have had flyers in other areas, but there's so much going on in the store and near the register so many look at me items, it would be easy to miss anything new. So don't miss out and take a peek if you go in....
Read moreOwner came cursing at me and my brother for us opening magic packs that we didnât buy there, which normally Iâd understand but my brother is a huge supporter of this store, has reccomended it to his friends and plays in events there often. We just happened to buy packs while we were picking up a video game earlier and wanted to sit down and open them and thought it would be okay to use the tables because my brother has a history there, but we were met with very unprofessional cursing that left us uncomfortable.
Edit: Acting like that toward us was not professional. no one was even in the store but us, not like we were taking seats from paying customers. What if we pulled something and wanted to sell to you? I think you let your anger get the best of you and acted quite irrational. My brother even went and got some sleeves from you even though you didnât have what he wanted, just to still support you even a little. The kidâs got no where else to go and he genuinely thought it would be okay because of how often he frequents the store. He himself only opened 2 boosters. Thatâs pennies compared to the contribution of him showing up and supporting you guys. I myself didnât think anything of it because I donât really frequent an LGS and donât know about LGS ettequite, and thought it was okay because there was not a single person at a table in the store and thought we could just sell any good pulls to you. If you want to blame anyone blame me, thatâs fine. But you need to know that what you did today was not cool. Iâm not even saying you shouldnât be pissed. After putting it in perspective I can understand it more, but even if you were upset you just handled it poorly especially when it came to a someone who has many times before been a paying customer, you could have just told us to not do it and leave it at that but you had to pepper in expletives. while not aimed directly at us, it was very hostile. We would have just done it somewhere else if you had came to us while we were doing it and asked us not to. That even speaks to the brevity of the whole situation, we werenât in there very long at all. Combined we had less than 10 packs. So either you just didnât notice until after the fact because we spent so little time, or didnât even bother to say anything until we...
Read moreThis review is of their new location (as of 9-1-19). I'll start by saying that I'm not from around here so being a regular here is not an option however I would most definitely be a regular here if it were an option. Their store has an amazing selection of both hobby supplies and supported games. My biggest credit to this store would be the selection, you get hit with multiple quality brand items that allow you to browse a selection instead of being forced to buy something because it was the only one they had. Another huge boon to the store is a good seperation between gaming space and retail space. Very well laid out as to not crowd people into a tuna can to roll dice. The store is also very well maintained, the staff here take the time to clean the floors, take out trash, not leave junk laying everywhere like empty boxes and broken minis, and the retail presentations are very well laid out, it wasn't hard to find anything I was looking for. These guys were also running a sale while I was there so huge props on the great prices, might not be all the time but if they ran one today they might run more in the future.
In conclusion I enjoy driving 2.5 hours to support these guys when I can. A great addition to a medium town...
