Dollar General — Local services in Rainier

The only reason I go to Dollar General is literally to collect Matchbox Skybusters planes and helicopters and hang them on my wall. I'm a current student pilot trying to get my pilots license, so yeah, I take my collections seriously. lol. Went in yesterday and was quite impressed with what I found! I have been looking everywhere for these specific aircraft for a while, and the only place I could find them was online, and I generally don't like shopping online because things don't always go smoothly so I have been waiting and hoping I would either find these aircrafts here or at Fredmeyers. Fred's is another place that has Matchbox Skybusters. No other stores carry them, which strikes me because stores like Walmart and Target sell Hot Wheels and Matchbox Cars but not airplanes or helicopters. If I don't shop online, Dollar General or Fred's are the only 2 stores that I know of that sell these types of aircraft other than flight museum gift shops. I stopped by this store for a quick in / out to purchase one item. I saw 3 employees standing and talking behind the registers, in an office. The person in front of me was using the self checkout, but the cashier for the open register had left and was in the office after the previous customer before me checked out. The girl using the self checkout didn't seem to know how to use it and had a lot of items. I stood waiting for over 5 minutes, with nobody in front of me before the cashier finally came out to ring me up. You will never leave this store with only one thing. It is too easy to impulse buy. The good side of this extra spending is that the items you impulse buy are insanely affordable and too good of a price to pass up grabbing. I honestly look at this store in comparison to Fred Meyers, it's a TINY version of Freddy's. You can shop for one thing but expect to leave with at least 3...so be careful! 😆 and good luck on saving $.
