A BLESSING!!! That is truly what Malika is! After driving 2.5 hours from VA to one salon for an appt and they not answering I drove around the city literally praying that this would not be a wasted trip. After searching google I ended up in the parking lot of BLC Gallery and I will forever be thankful for Malika answering the phone and inviting my son and myself into her salon. There are not enough thank you’s that I can extend to her for her knowledge, patience, and expertise. This woman is nothing short of amazing. My son’s hair looks a thousand percent better and we will start to make this a routine visit for his loc maintenance. I want to also shout out the barber, Chris. He too had a very friendly demeanor and made us feel welcome. Customer service is something that for sure makes a difference and I can honestly say this place has it. I got a hair cut by a barber and a so called stylist cost me 120.00. My cut still has no shape, uneven lines, razor cuts was toooooo big for my small head. Curls didn't last, no consult on the texture and course to take with my hair. Got a dye job and hair fell out on top after a month because I needed to do something and got a perm.....big mistake. Now my hair is lifeless, dry as a desert and beyond. I didn't want to come back to work with anyone to correct it. It makes no sense to show a picture and your cut looks like nappy underarm hair a day later. This was about 4 mo ago or more, but I will never visit again I see you only do locs and it was my mistake thinking this shop had capable barbers and stylist,now I need to find another spot to do a correction. I was referred to the shop by a friend of mine. I loved the work and quality of the styles i seen so i decided to start my lock journey. I called Saturday morning to get an appointment. I was told pricing and that she was busy with a client and would give me a call back. After waiting most of the day and not hearing back i give them a call back and was able to get a 6am appointment on monday as an accommodation being that i needed to be done by 11. Well here it is monday at 6:54am and no one has showed up yet. I have called multiple times and mailbox is full. I am extremely disappointed and inconvenience by the whole experience.
