This is such a fun adventure for younger kids, my 4 year-old twins LOVE riding the trains here. We live over an hour away, and drive down every month to ride the trains and enjoy the park. It's an affordable & fun way to spend the day, we bring a lunch and ice chest, the "conductor" takes a mid-day lunch break, which is the perfect time to sit under a tree and do the same. We always end up riding the train several times, we've never had to wait very long, if at all, to ride, and there's always been parking right at the train "yard". The little barn with farm animals is super cute too, it's fun to see Cupcake the donkey when you pull into the station. They are open to non members on the first full weekends during the spring, summer and fall. I don't remember the scale of the bigger railroad but it's big enough to ride on top. There's also a g scale layout.
The grounds are clean and well taken care of. The people are quite friendly and happy to talk.
