I wasn't even the one getting tattooed and the hospitality was amazing! Shout out to Steve the artist that did my friend Ava's badass tattoo!! She saw her getting shaky and took care of her without up charging and gave her plenty of breaks. She bought us lunch and Kentucky custom drink Ale8, talked to us the entire appointment, free touch ups for life, very good pricing, willing to do art trades, advice about the area as we are from out of town, and beautiful jewelry. By far the best tattoo shop we have every been to and the best and nicest tattoo artist we have ever met. I first went to Red River Tattoo for simple daith piercings. The owner a.k.a Steve was so quick to notice how small my ears are, even without trial and error, she knew the size needed by just looking, which told me she knew her business! Due to surgeries, the piercing had to be redone, and of course I went back! Since then, I've taken my grown son and husband in for tattoos, both loved them and will for God willing, many years to come! My friend and I traveled to Red River Gorge from WI for a weekend and wanted to get matching tattoos. We researched Steve and corresponded prior to booking an appt. She seemed confident with the small dainty tattoos we wanted, tattooing for 10 yrs. When we got there she admitted she was nervous having to use a “5” since they were pretty thin lines. We both had one spot that “bled” out and in all honesty the lines are not clean, the bottom heart is rounded and not pointed, and overall she complained throughout the tattooing.
