Wigwam Drive-In

I know I'm always bragging on this place but yall i swear best place in town to eat and best prices i almost bet anything on that one forsure 😆 🤣 this place has been there every since I was a child and my papaws store ( wise place) is right up from it so I've spent many a many years yup at the store everyday and running down there and getting my food for the day right there at the wig wam! Love it, my papaw would give me the money to go get us food and on good days get ice cream pie or milkshakes but always regardless of what we got it was always the best eating and always a friendly smile to greet ya! And now days I still go there alot but not everyday like back then, but my great friend works there and she will always be nice polite and caring to her customers and a friendly conversations and smile from Sarah. And you're good food may be prepared 😋 by my friend casey and I wouldn't forget amber also they are all my good friends and great ppl ❤️ go on up and get yall a country boy box n mtn dew they never disappoint me ever! And if ya in a hurry to get back to work etc, just call em up and place ya order an they will have it ready for ya when ya get there! Always try ta tip if ya can, cause ya know a small town business ain't always the best paying jobs but the place just means the world to the girls working there and they can use a good tip when possible! We visited this restaurant because we wanted something different. It is a bit of a drive from Lexington but it was a pretty day outside so we gave it a shot. My husband and I were both glad we did. The restaurant was a small little mom and pop place. It only had about 7 or 8 tables and bar seating. The menu was large given the size of the location and it offered a lot of variety. They serve breakfast all day and even have bison on the menu, which is rare. The food itself was delicious. Both my husband and I enjoyed our entrees. We were so happy to see that their coleslaw was served with crackers! They even have milkshakes, which we got to go. The value of food quality, quantity, and price was exceptional. I have to give a shout out to the waitress (Kaylee). She was the only waitress and she was hauling butt to get everyone taken care of. Including the three or four carry out orders that came in just while we were there. Even though she was noticeably busy, our drinks stayed full and she was SUPER friendly, in a very genuine way. If you want to step back into the past this is the place to go. It has the 1960s classic look and feel. The food is classic to match as well. It all looked amazing. My son and husband were very happy with what they ordered. I asked for chilli and said I had a wheat allergy (with celiac unfortunately its a hit or miss if restaurants know about it) I got chilli Mac after telling the waitress I had a wheat allergy. It's an old style menu no prices. Again everything looks great and my family was thrilled. They do take out as well so while I can't partake I know I will definitely be picking up things for my family. I plan to take my dad back for breakfast he will love to see a place that will remember him of times he fondly spent with his mom and grandma with the home made pies. For me?
