About 2.5 weeks ago myself, my mother, and my mother in law booked an appointment and were excited to go and try on dresses for my son’s wedding. However, that excitement QUICKLY diminished. I own a fairly well known company in the surrounding Dayton/Cincy/Cleveland area- I only say this to set the tone- since I was dressed extremely casual that day. From the moment we walked in; our assigned person was EXTREMELY rude. We were unaware that we were not allowed to touch- simply touch, not remove from the rack- ANY dress- which was honestly completely fine BUT the saleswoman was extremely rude and condescending. As we moved further into the appointment she repeatedly asked my dress size and rudely clarified THREE times that she was referring to boutique sizes- not department and I repeated EVERY time I wear a 6 or an 8 (I understand boutique sizing very well) I am 5”4 and 120lbs. She then proceeded to ask me twice if their store or their dresses were within my budget- wow- this definitely could have been worded better- at this point I believe the other staff sensed something was disgustingly off too and they actually got us another saleswoman. She was helpful and kind- but the first saleswoman continued to help my mother- and continued to make small semi-offensive comments. When we were leaving my mother asked if they had other recommendations for MOB dresses- this SALES WOMAN- suggested to my sweet and kind mother to go to the Dress Barn- look the dress barn is fine BUT it is certainly NOT a MOB store and she definitely knew that. She was MOCKING MY MOTHER and she is DISGUSTING- any WOMAN that would treat other WOMEN this way should be embarrassed. This entire experience was humiliating- you, your store, and your staff should be ASHAMED! Unbelievable you treat...
Read moreWent to The Queen's Lace (love the name) with a dear friend today and had the best time. Inside, the feel was warm, welcoming and elegant without being stuffy. Kim and her lovely niece, Stephanie, were the most accommodating and helpful women. Their feedback was helpful in practical terms for fit, color and design for our figure types. After asking for an appointment via email, the owner got back to me right away to answer any questions and to find the best time for us.
We arrived to their friendly, positive energy and mimosas. I gave them the parameters for the dress I was looking for in regards to length, style and color. After appropriate dresses were being pulled, we tried them on. One thing I appreciated was the fact that there were mirrors in the dressing room. The last store where I tried on a few, there were none and you were forced to come out in the open to see if you even liked it or not. After seeing me in a few styles, they even brought me a few options they thought would look good on me. The styles were nothing that I would have chosen on my own but incredibly they looked amazing! To help complete the look, they had jewelry for sale too.
They were the perfect balance of professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness without hovering needlessly. My friend and I got more than we expected because they helped us choose the looks that made us feel confident, beautiful and comfortable. Most of the stores in the bridal district don't have the inventory on hand to meet a mother of the bride/groom/godmother's wants. This place specifically fills that bill. I highly recommend them. You will not be...
Read moreI will never be back and will not recommend your store! I was with my 2 daughters on a Sunday and my daughter found her wedding dress at Blue Blush. They referred us to stroll down the street to browse your mother of the bride dresses. We walked in and was met by 3 ladies, one who was extremely rude because we didn’t have an appointment. She said they don’t like people just stopping in to look without an appointment. We did not want to try on any dresses, simply just wanted to see if you had the colors we were looking for. Also, there was not one customer in the store at the time. One of the three ladies did step around the rude lady and said she didn’t mind showing us dresses. She asked us to come on in and even offered me to try on dresses if I would like since there wasn’t an appointment scheduled for about an hour from that time. However, I didn’t try on any, only looked at what was pulled out and shown in the colors I was interested in. All this to say I will shop elsewhere and can find a dress much prettier and affordable at VonMaur. You missed out because I may have bought one of your dresses if treated professionally. Customer service is a thing and word does travel. I wish I had names because one lady would get praise for her very sweet personality, and one would be fired. The other lady just stood there with nothing to say. Your website even mentions about freely coming in to browse. Doubt you will be in business a couple...
