The Whittle Shop — Local services in Redmond

Nice father and son operating the shop but quality of outdoor bar top was poor and follow-up service non-existent. Bar top was installed in November and we immediately covered for winter months, as suggested. Less that two months after uncovering in spring we were getting splinters and there were numerous spots where the raw wood was visible. I contacted the Whittle Shop and they told me to glue the splintered parts and to reseal with Helmsmen polyurethane. They did not offer to do it or make any effort to make good. The splinters continued to happen. I’ve now removed the splintered area and resealed 3 times in our first summer of use. A woodworking hobbyist suggested that the wood likely wasn’t dry or the original sealing was done properly or sufficiently. For the price paid, I would have hoped the Whittle Shop would have delivered a quality product or at least fixed...
