While in Ketchikan last week, we did a tour with Captain Jeff. It was an amazing experience. We had a beautiful day with great waters. We saw an abundance of eagles and their (huge) nests, a seal (or sea lion?) and for a brief second, a whale. The narration from Captain Jeff is wonderful and he tells you all about the history of Ketchikan and the wildlife found there. The hot chocolate they have is literally THE best and the snacks are pretty wonderful too. They give away the salmon dip recipe but not the hot chocolate recipe! We had a great day. As we were waiting on the bus to leave, I saw Jeff and the deckhands wiping down every last thing on the boat with wipes. They are covid conscious and it was appreciated.

Worth it! Endless hot cocoa, local snacks, and really (actually) cool staff and captain. Almost guaranteed to see some sort of wildlife.

Fantastic crew, boat and amazing viewing of Eagles (saw an abundance of them), totems (they take you for a view of the totem park from the water, a fantastic view), and the main lighthouse for the area. All while having great narration and Jokes/puns (Captain Jeff is a 3rd generation seaman/local who will entertain you and guide you on your adventure). The whole experience was incredible! Don't forget to get the recipe for their salmon spread (you have to go on the trip to get it, no spoilers here. You won't regret it). Hopefully you also get Andrew to regale you with a sea shanty, he is perfect.

Highly recommend this company/excursion! I went with family mid-June 2025 and everyone was wonderful. The captain and deckhands were very friendly and did a great job providing the history and other information in an engaging way. There was also a recording that could be difficult to hear if you were close to the motor, but that was my choice to sit there. The deckhands we had were Alex and Janice and they were eager to help show you any wildlife you couldn't spot and just had positive energy in general. The locally sourced snacks were really good, too! We even bought a couple things...
