A Christmas shopping for the homeless children gone bad day. I am at the half-and-half in Richardson on Campbell street. The customer service was very unprofessional. I got in a line which had a lot of people but I noticed another line had only 2 customers. I didn't got in that line and stood another probably 10 minutes. Because he was pretty much taken his time. He act like he didn't want to be at work. Looking at his face and how he acted kind of shaking his head. As if he didn't want to be there when he checked out the last customer, he said I'll be right back and walked away. He began to walk around the store as I watched him then he came back the other guy at the register, said he'll be with you in a moment and continue to Ring app his line by that time he finished ringing up his customers and asked me to move to another line, I said I was in a line this is unprofessional what's going on, he said. I'll call someone else to take you out. Told the other guy to go and hang up clothes. Well, the female came, I walked over to that line then he said. Are you using card or cash? I said what different doesn't make. I just want to get out the store, he said. Well, she only takes cards, I said. This is the line you told me to get in. They started laughing, nothing was funny. The other guy came back and begin to get other clothes. I begin to say this is unprofessional and I want a manager. They said aint no manager here as they continue to laugh like something was funny. I then asked for a manager again and names they said we don't know, then the girl I asked her she said she didn't know the manager name nor did she know the guys name she worked with that she just started working. I let them know at that time it was very unprofessional and I didn't know if they'd try to be racist or what? But they were very unprofessional. And they should be kind to all customers no matter what race they are. I began to record them laughing and talking. So I decided to leave all my items. Let them know that I was going to call Corporate. If you are going to hire young teenagers or young adults, please train them on professionalism regardless of race as well as how to conduct themselves when customers are in the store. This was very unprofessional I will continue to make it known to the public and I deserve an apology and yes, I will be taking this to corporate. It was unnecessary and very rude, especially for them to be laughing and nothing was funny. Nor did I do anything but express the fact that they were being unprofessional and I needed to be checked out of the store. They definitely need to be terminated. And I'm the type of person that see the good and everything. But what I experienced today, I hope I'm the last one and I'll do my best to make sure I am the last customer that they treat this way. No matter what race they are. If you are corporate or the store manager on Campbell, in Richarddon, Tx you're more than welcome to reach out. I definitely will be back at the store with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeems like thereās a lot of negative reviews due to āunclutteredā or āunorganizedā. You do have to take a second and realize what kind of store youāre shopping at- they have OVERSTOCK items, and theyāre over stocked!! Yes, sometimes it can be a sensory overload (I spend hours in this store just grazing and looking and Iām NEVER disappointed!!) but the pricing is fair and there are REALLY good and expensive brands at affordable pricesā You DO have to pay attention to the items, some might have flaws (this why itās so discounted) but for the most part this store is a hidden gem for anyone who has the patience and interest to browse. Itās kinda like a thrift store in that regardā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļø
The manager is awesome- heās a lovely spirit whom you can tell is always trying to brighten up someoneās day- he bends over backwards always staying busy to maintain the store- I have SEEN people not be the politest to him (arguing about a discount, trying to negotiate the price DESPITE store policy, and just being rude) and he is still very kind and greets every customer! I even brought my mom and sister here- Iām telling you. If youāre want something more āorganizedā go to Walmart to get a damn tshirt. I donāt know what to tell you, when you can clearly see this is an overstock/liquidation store! AGAIN- Itās kinda like a thrift store in that regardā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļø (Reading some of these reviews and theyāre a bit ridiculous about that)
Lastly theyāre open late and they STAY late attending every last customer. I was in line way past closing time and people were still browsing YET they were patient and didnāt rush customers to complete their shopping, they just closed their doors.
Keep an open mind when you come to this location and treat the workers with some respect. They take a lot from people, I can say that with confidence given what Iāve witnessed being a frequent shopper here.
^^ Everyone loves a good deal but no one loves an attitude.
I tell all of my friends about this place and every time they tell me they went they always brag about what they found- LOTS of Nine West and Nike, and their shoe inventory is ALWAYS amazing!! š¤āŗļø (Iāll post a few pics of what Iāve gotten from just this location)
Huge shoutout to the manager and all attending staff- yall keep this ship afloat and I...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1/2 of 1/2 is a clothing store in Richardson, Texas that sells name brand clothing at discounted prices. The store is often crowded and the clothing is haphazardly put on racks, making it difficult to find what you are looking for. Some of the deals are good, but others are not worth the price. Overall, I would not recommend this store.
Here is a more detailed review of the store:
Crowded and cluttered
The first thing you will notice when you walk into 1/2 of 1/2 is that it is very crowded. The aisles are narrow and the racks are packed with clothing. It can be difficult to move around and browse the racks, especially on weekends.
The clothing is also haphazardly put on racks. This makes it difficult to find what you are looking for and the clothes are often wrinkled and damaged. I found myself having to dig through piles of clothes to find something that I liked.
Some deals are good, others are not
Some of the deals at 1/2 of 1/2 are good. I found a few items that were well-priced and of good quality. However, other items were overpriced, even though they were discounted. I also found that some of the clothes were damaged or had stains.
Unhelpful staff
The staff at 1/2 of 1/2 is not very helpful. They are often busy and do not have time to help customers find what they are looking for. I asked a staff member for help finding a specific size and style of shirt, but they were unable to help me.
Overall, not worth it
Overall, I would not recommend 1/2 of 1/2. There are other stores in the area that sell name brand clothing at discounted prices without the same drawbacks. For example, I have had good experiences shopping at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. These stores are also crowded, but the staff is more helpful and the clothing is better organized.
If you are looking for name brand clothing at discounted prices, I would recommend shopping at another store. 1/2 of 1/2 is not...
