MAS Inc. is primarily a wholesaler to builders and renovation contractors, but they treat the homeowner clients as their ultimate customer as well. We bought a full suite of higher end appliances from MAS through our renovation General Contractor, including Bosch refrigerator and range, KitchenAide dishwasher, and a Sharp built-in drawer microwave. Our refrigerator was delivered in original packaging with dents in two of the doors, and our microwave turned out to have a defective control panel and thermostat and would not heat food or liquids after the first 3 months. In both cases, MAS stepped up immediately after we contacted them to facilitate a resolution with the manufacturers. They got Bosch to send us two new doors for our refrigerator, and arranged for an appliance service company to swap out the old and install the new, all without charge to us. Similarly, they worked with Sharp to arrange for replacement of the defective electronic parts, but when we were advised by Sharp that the parts were on indefinite back order, MAS stepped up again and exchanged a new unit they had in stock for our non-functioning unit in need of replacement parts, so that we now have a fully operational microwave and they will deal with Sharp on the repair of the old one. We paid our General Contractor for the swap out of the non-functioning unit and installation of the new exchange unit, but there was no cost of the exchange itself to us. Throughout both of these problem resolution processes, the MAS representatives we worked with were totally professional and very much end-customer oriented. It just doesn't get any better than MAS.    Read moreI have to only give one star in this review. We know that MAS has a good reputation in the community and carries the top end appliances which we were in search of. We had a sense of urgency to purchase a thermador, or sub zero refrigerator since ours had stopped working. The webpage gave business hours and stated that they were open until 4:30pm. we arrived at 11:00am. Due to COVID, We were not able to enter the showroom to see the models offered at MAS, and we were given a saleperson name, Ellen Owen. I contacted her to make an appointment to visit the showroom again and to see what is available for purchase. She offered to send an email of available appliances and price points. The email never came to us. We checked back for the entire day, and no email, no phone call. We had a good experience with Ellen Owen walking us through all of our choices at our price point. She was also very responsive with our emails. Prices where good and delivery times where par for the course. We did have an issue with our first refrigerator we couldn’t get because the manufacturer stopped making them. Then we had a refrigerator we ordered that didn’t fit our space. MAS Charged approximately a $600 restocking fee. We ended up trying a refrigerator from Best Buy (15 day free return policy). Ultimately it didn’t fit our kitchen design and we repurchased from Home Depot which worked out perfectly. All and all a decent experience with a lot of moving parts.
