Pelican sports of Quakertown during May and June of 2018 has disappointed me very much.. Maybe to the point of no return.... PAUL, although very knowledgeable.. On May 22 filled out an order form for an extreme aguabot vacume cleaner for our in-ground pool... He took my ph. number and said he would call me when he gets it in... I Didnt ask how long.. But he seemed so efficient and it was pool season so Ă­ thot he understood the urgency.. The following week i called again and the pleasant lady's voice on the line said it was not in yet and SHE WOULD TELL PAUL WHO WAS BUSY AT THE MOMENT TO GIVE ME A CALL and to give it a few more days. On june 4.. I stopped in the store... Paul was busy and a man named CHRIS. took my question... Why Didnt PAUL call me and why wasn't the vacume in yet? Paul overheard the discussion and said he did call last week, I said I had no calls from pelican. So he made light of his promise and said that someone else may have got the message he left on their answering service. No sincere aplology.. He just laughed off the mistake and said how funny that some one else must have gotten his call and wondering what they yhot when they received that message. Chris took my credit card and copied off all the info on it so it and said they can't order it unless it is paid in full and must be billed as a special order for the warehouse to send it. At this point i wasn't too confident to hand over my bank account to people who i could not trust to keep their word.. Chris said the truck would deliver this week of June 4 and he took my phone number again.. Promising to call... I ask him to read my phone # back to me to be sure that he had the right numbers to call... Today the Pool been flocked for 2 WEEKS sitting stagnant waiting for vacume AND IT IS JUNE 12 AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE CALL... AT LEAST A COURTESY CALL THAT IT DID NOT GET DELIVERED THE WEEK THEY SAID THE TRUCK WAS DELIVERING.. I am WAITING ON PELICANS FALSE PROMISES. Ă­ am calling today... June 12, 2018. It is almost mid June and pool still is not ready for the short summer season in the northeast.. I guess my business of $740.00 for a new pool vacuum can arrive mid summer and there will be no consequences for them...just an unvacuumed dirty pool for our family... If they would have been honest on the delivery date and said 6 weeks, or told me previously that I had to pay in full I would have changed my plans or traveled to the warehouse in Alexandre, NEW Jersey to get the vac myself. That purchase is relevant to me as it represents at least 3 - 4 full days of work and A half month less of pool use when summer is only 3 months long... The following post is my update after having a bad experience at pelican last summer. After waiting over 6 weeks for a vacume I had ordered that they said would take a week or maximum 10 business days to arrive.. I kept checking back each week and each time a different associate would promise that it should soon arrive. FINALLY after many attempts at follow-up, i was told that the manufacturer in New Jersey was no longer making that model. But I waited 6 weeks for them to find that out? Pelican made right on their business dealing with me and sold me a different vacume which was suppose to be more efficient at the same cost of the one that I had originally ordered which was apparently out of stock and not being manufactured any more. So in the end they tried to make up the difference of a negligent business deal by absorbing the cost almost $100 ? for a more expensive vacume. Hats off to Pelican for negotiating a deal to make up for half the summer lost due to not having the vacume. I probably won't place any orders there but will continue buying in store chemicals and supplies. Pelican brand black algaecide does the trick on algae problem every summer.

Pelican pools has been soooo amazing to us every step of the way !!! Delivered on the date promised, excavated for leveling the date promised and installed the date promised!!! We would 100% recommend Pelican Pools if you’re wanting a pool. The gentleman who helped us pick the one out was super helpful and didn’t try slick upsell tricks. A true family run small business that’s true to its customers!! We used the location in Quakertown PA PS this isn’t fully done we haven’t added our staircase and I’m so excited to have that instead of a double sided ladder OPTIONS they have options !!!

Pelican was also running a special on their rentals right now that was a huge win for us as customers. Everyone was very nice. Thank you to Ethan and Devin for helping us. And also for being chill while my son snapped selfies without me knowing. Definitely recommend.

We took our 3 and 5 year olds to get a set of rental skis today and were assisted by Devin and Ethan at Pelican in Quakertown. They were incredibly helpful and patient while getting our kids sized for their first set of skis. Pelican was also running a special on their rentals right now that was a huge win for us as customers. Everyone was very nice. Thank you to Ethan and Devin for helping us. And also for being chill while my son snapped selfies without me knowing. Definitely recommend.

I usually don't go out of my way to leave a bad review but I feel I need to warn prospective buyers. First, I'll start with the good things about Pelican. They do have very good quality hot tubs for sale. We did our research on hot tubs before buying, but we should have done more research on places to buy hot tubs first. We bought a 7 person Cal Spa hot tub from them. The sales person/manager, Chris, sold us the hot tub and delivery was for May 2021. We did receive the hot tub in May, as promised- but with a different cover than the cover I ordered. Really wasn't a big deal to me and I wasn't mad, but I did want the color cover that I ordered and reach out to find out when I could get that. Chris said in two weeks. It's over 8 months later and just today I got the cover. As I see it, based upon my experience, Chris's lack of customer service skills is their MAIN problem. We called and called to get our cover. Every time we spoke to someone who was really nice to us but couldn't help us. They just told us Chris would call us back. Didn't happen. Chris NEVER called us back. If it wasn't for Paul (?) and Lilly I don;t think we would have ever received the cover. Again, the wrong color cover is NOT a huge deal. It was the lack of customer service, including honesty, from Chris that was the problem. If he would have just reached out to us and told us we would have to wait for 8 months we would have been ok with that. Ignoring/avoiding the conversation was the wrong thing to do. We are putting up a big gazebo this summer by our pool. We were going to buy the furniture from Pelican, but based upon this lousy experience we won't. I feel, based on the other reviews, that this guy is a bruise on this business. Stop treating your customers like a one night stand, Chris. We spent over $11,000 on a hot tub and feel we deserved a better...

Purchased a pool over the phone, on Sunday 7/18, the sales rep Paul was very kind and helpful. I asked the return policy and he informed me of it and told me if for some reason I needed to return the pool it wouldn’t be an issue as long as everything was in the original packaging and undamaged. As it happened, after speaking with our township on Monday, we were unable to make the pool work in our yard. We never picked up the pool. It never left Pelican’s possession.

I called pelican multiple times today, (7/21) in an attempt to get a refund. My info was taken down by various reps and I was assured I would be called today by a manager to be refunded. They close at 6pm, and by 5:50 I was yet to receive a call. I called one more time and finally got through to the manager.

I informed him that I would like a refund because I wouldn’t be able to take the pool. The manager was very rude and condescending, he continued to ask why I needed a refund (well within the return policy). He asked why I would buy a pool if it I couldn’t take it. I continued to ask nicely for a refund, and he continued to question me. If I’m well within the return policy, I don’t understand why it’s such an inconvenience to issue a refund well within the return period on a product that never left their store.

He ended the phone call by telling me “he‘ll take care of it” and hanging up on me. No refund info, no paperwork, no email receipt, nothing. Just a hard time, and poor customer service. Would not recommend. A company that sells such big ticket items should have much better customer service.

I hope I receive some paperwork for my refund soon or I will be contacting the Better...
