Nox Barbecue — Local services in Richmond

If you want very delicious food that everyone is going to rave over, please give Nox BBQ a try. We don't know how we got so lucky with finding Nox but we are so glad we did! The owner, Long, is really friendly, flexible and really knows his way around the grill. We really loved that he was able to do a tasting prior to booking and he was able to come to our house, which made that such a fun, homey and relaxing experience. Our guests absolutely loved the food and so did we; we had leftovers after our wedding and people were wanting to take some home too. I still dream about the smoked brisket and garlic rice. The ONLY downside is that Long doesn't have a restaurant so you really have to enjoy the food while you have it. Hands down one of the coolest people to work with and don’t get me started on the food! We spent so much time trying to find a Caterer that fit our budget but still offered killer BBQ, little did we know all we had to do was watch the news. I was sold as soon as he started talking, just an incredibly personable guy that knows what he’s got going on. Throughout the process of booking for our big day, making payments, and doing tastings Long was incredibly professional and helpful in making our little vision come to life! The food was phenomenal, we went with Brisket (of course) and Chicken Inasal and ended up with a bunch of leftovers that we get to cherish until the very last of it lol. Again the food was perfect, Nox BBQ as a whole was perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more...

I had the pleasure of trying Nox Barbecue at a wedding. The brisket was juicy with a nice smoky flavor. The salmon was really tender and perfectly cooked too. There was a vegetarian option as well. It was a nice change of pace to have this for wedding food vs the normal bland options you get at a typical wedding. I met the owner and he was really nice. He talked to me for a couple minutes while setting up. He made the drive all the way out from NorCal. If you have a large amount of people you want to feed, definitely give Nox a ring.
