My son turned 16 and all he wanted was to go to Tanks with his best friends and our family. He had been a few times already but this was my first time, and I was nervous for myself and my two younger boys, ages 8 and 10 to play paintball. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a happy and helpful young lady named Zoe. I knew I was a valued customer within 30 seconds of walking through the door just by her customer service! Another staff member, John, starts telling us jokes and keeping the younger kids calm and distracted while I did all the sign in stuff, and luckily he ended up being our team leader for the day. Devon was issuing equipment and he took his time teaching our group how to be safe (mom bonus points) and how to use our weapons and gear properly and he even let the younger kids pick which color helmets they wanted. He was so considerate. John led us to the safe zone, helped us set up our table, and showed us where to put our coolers and belongings. No one messes with your stuff, but just in case someone does, they have security cameras all over the place as a safeguard. Once we got started, the fun didn't stop! John was a blast and he really knows how to keep up everyone's confidence. My boys made me so proud and it was such a treasure for me to be on the field with them to see them work together, protect each other and demonstrate the kind of sportsmanship you hope for your kids to have. The other players were friendly even when being competitive and everyone treated each other like old friends. The fields were spacious and there was plenty of cover. James and Corey made it extra fun and kept us on our toes the whole time. It was one of the best family weekends ever and we couldn't have spend our money in a better establishment. I'd give them more stars if they'd let me because from start to finish, they care about you and your family having fun and staying safe all while being incredibly affordable! A+ 100% great job, Tanks! We'll be back for sure!!...
Read moreI used a Groupon with my family and friend. We arrived earlier in the day because the website says to come in between 9am-12pm for Groupon users. The website wasn't specific so we wanted to get more information. The woman at the register was nice and explained to us the correct time for the zombie event which was around 7pm. She was cut off by her rude manager. He yelled list that "all Groupon people need to come back at 7pm. We came back at the correct time and waited on line. After about 30 minutes we got to the register. The woman we all seen earlier was there and nice and friendly. She asked me to order more paintballs for $30 more, I agreed. She explained that only one vehicle was working and that they were working as fast as they could. We then continued our journey to the ride after another hour and a half wait. When we finally got on the ride, we all got set up. As we were driving my paintball gun wasn't shooting. I let the staff on the ride know about the gun not working. He attempted to fix it but it didn't work. He asked for help for another team member. The other team member also attempted but it still wouldn't work. When the ride was over I was pulled to the side and told by the first employee that was helping me he was trying to find his manager. You guessed it, it was the rude guy from earlier. The employee explained to him what happened. The manager wasn't having any of it. He told me, "you can go back on the line". I should add that the line was twice as long as it was when we first got there at this point. I said I don't want to go back on the line. The manager then just walked away. No resolution, not even a, "I'll move you to the front"so I did t have to wait again, or "I'll give you a discount" on my next visit or even a "I'll refund you" for the extra $30 I spent. Boy it sure is nice to have 500 paint pellets I can no longer use at your establishment because of the paint from field policy. How can the regular employees be more managerial then...
Read moreUPDATE: Recently the owner of Tank's Paintball (Mr. Tank himself) contacted me regarding the issue below. He was extremely straightforward, generous, and put in motion steps to correct the accident, which was due to a computer error at the cashier's table and some miscommunication. I very much appreciate the steps Mr. Tank and Tank's Paintball have taken to reach a conclusion that both he and I agreed on. I had a great time playing paintball. The staff coordinating the matches do their best to make sure everyone follows the rules and those with their own gear are split up evenly between the two teams. Despite the hot weather I hope to be able to return to Tank's soon (I do recommend making a reservation for groups beforehand though).
Tank's Paintball engages in price gauging and charged me nearly x5 what I had originally thought I would pay. I bought two $11 tickets through Groupon in advance, but when I arrived to the location the cashier told me that because 'we're low on equipment', they were not accepting tickets bought online. Instead, I had to buy two $35 tickets. Effectively I thought I would spend $22 but ended up spending a total of $92 for three hours of play. I find it extremely unethical that Tank's Paintball would pull a 'bait and switch' by luring people to the site by the highway with tickets that cost only $11 and then refuse those tickets after they had been purchased. They rely on the fact that because you are already at the location, it is very likely you will pay for the $35. I absolutely do not recommend going to Tank's Paintball and warn those who do go that you may end up paying nearly x5 what you expected to...
