I don't know even where to begin when talking about my experience with Avatar. I started with Detox & Residential and went to their Outpatient program doing both PHP and IOP. The staff that greet you at the door are very kind, welcoming and supportive. Most full well knowing & previously experiencing the same fears of detoxing or being in an unfamiliar setting due to addiction. Rebecca & Steph were the nurses on duty during admission process and absolutely made me feel a lot more comfortable with my decision to come in. Just by their ability to read my vibes and seeing how stressed I was, they tried with all their heart, to make me feel safe, embraced and cared-for. Jessica the admission staff member that did my pre-screen, essentially talked me off the ledge and convinced me to come into rehab. I'd like to thank her personally for what she did because I wouldn't have 200 days clean and sober today if she didn't get me into treatment from the start! A really big THANKS and ultimate gratitude for Pinal the owner, who absolutely went above & beyond to try to help me while I was under Avatar's care, but especially after it. He doesn't just help while in treatment or be a "money grabber" like a recent review stated or I'd on the hook for hundreds of thousands of dollars with the numerous times I've been to Avatar the last 2.5 years. I saw what my insurance paid-out compared to what Avatar billed them, and i don't think Avatar even got 20%, but still didn't bill me 7 months later! So I don't understand what some of these reviewers with their negative comments could possibly come from because I'm living proof of being the exact opposite of what a few of these fake reviews allege and they were NEVER clients! Moving on down my gratitude list lol! I'd also like to give a pretty big thanks to the BHT's like Alex, Donna, Jessica and Karen for always being willing to talk and help me get through my personal outside life problem that's still persist even once clinical leaves for the day. They each played a big part in me staying. I'd also like to thank Andrew for setting up haircuts, nail's, and activities for us to go to on the weekends, which made it so much easier for being in rehabable and more tolerable, although Avatat already does that on its own. At the end of the day, your treatment plan is what you and your therapist make it out to be. It's the client's choice, meaning my choice to follow it through! I worked vigorously and diligently to see my treatment plan through so it would give me a chance to survive once I discharged from the comfortable confines of Avatar! I just saw another review basically blaming Avatar for her husband's actions and the relationship falling apart. If someone's on drugs or alcohol & needed to go to rehead, the relationship was already strained & falling apart. You can't place blame on what a client does outside of Avatar's walls on Avatar. It doesn't even make sense lmao. I chose to do the work, go to IOP, go to meetings and get a sponsor and work on the 12 steps! I just want to thank Avatar for catching me falling backwards to a bottom I've never been at before. Not only did they help rehabilitate me, they also gave me tools and taught me how to use them when situations would undoubtedly arise without Avatar's protective shield. I couldn't be more grateful and appreciative starting with Pinal & his wife Manisha, then going down to Jessica, Kaitlin, Lenny, and Andrew for the extra curricular things. Finally down to the wonderful chefs who cook amazing food and the cleaning ladies that clean your room & change your sheets even if you pee in the bed. Every basic need is covered at Avatar, yet they still offer more. Everyone there wants to see you succeed and stay through the whole program. Stay focused on your rehabilitation, but as unfortunate as it is to say, most people aren't ready, and I've thanked God for the last 200 days that he helped me finally be ready & clean! Avatar was the only rehab I've ever been to and the only one I'd ever consider...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here as my court-order was ending and after getting kicked out of More-Life. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I was kicked out because their staff stole 70% of my possessions and they didnt want to take responsibility for it and deal with the issue. Brand new expensive clothing with tags on them, gone! My new Jordan shoes and bathroom products, gone! This also being months after the government seized all of my belongings for charges that were dropped, and I NEVER received my stuff back! So as soon as my admission paperwork at Avatar was done and my suitcase was opened, I saw what was left & I snapped. The techs called the owners to notify them of my behavior and the owner Pinal was on his way to kick me out himself at 4am. By the time he arrived, I had time to calm down and explain the situation and my history surrounding rehab facilities especially in Florida, and it's NOT GOOD! He was understanding enough to give me a chance to stay. For the first 2 weeks, I was so angry along with detoxing, I barely left my room. The owner had a friend that worked with a non-profit organization that helped replace some of my stolen clothing. I was so grateful because up to that point, the only help I ever received was dependant on how much my insurance policy paid facilities and how long I was willing to stay. My whole attitude and perspective changed. I started attending groups and volunteered where help was needed. I repeated this everyday up until my insurance cut me off. By that time, I was already fully bought into starting a new life. Pinal scholarshiped me until a legitimate discharge plan was set up for me to continue my growth. I was set up in an up & coming sober living and was given a job that essentially paid my rent until I proved myself further and better opportunities arose. I was already starting to change my life up to the More-Life incident. Avatar just helped reel me back in because I went back to my jail mentality, and how I was going to make the people responsible pay. I have Curtis & Ed, my therapists at the time to thank, but most of all, Pinal & his wife Manisha. Pinal gave me a 2nd chance and allowed me to volunteer my time to help staff so I kept busy and active. Manisha always pushed me to strive for more. Doing the regular expectation was great, but if I wanted better for myself, she pushed me to do more. Well, better opportunities did arise and I took them and ran. I am coming up on 2 years off pain killers and bought a brand new car within the last year and its almost fully paid off. Now, I'm moving up in my current employment, I'm in the process of starting my own business, and have multiple side hustles, God forbid anything tragic happens to me, I'm good! I'm now looking to buy a condo or townhouse. I'm successful now because of my experience at Avatar which was my last rehab! I wanted to share this story with potential clients because I've been court ordered to rehab for years awaiting trial. Well, insurance used to pay for 90 days where now, you are lucky to get 30 days. Point being, I've been to my fair share of facilities waiting for my case to close and the care you get from the staff at Avatar is bar-none, the Best in the business! Of course the accommodations, single rooms, and having the ability to use your phone are great, but the relationships I made with people that tremendously benefited my life even until this day, speaks volumes, especially with how much this industry has plummeted in the last decade. Thank you Pinal, Manisha, and everyone that positively made a difference in my life! Avatar is definitely 1 of a Kind! 5-Stars hands down without a doubt! I hope my story in this review shows you how I really started from the bottom and had to WORK my way to the top and I'm still climbing! It wasn't given to me! My work ethic and perfectionalistic traits got me here. I wouldn't be here if I didn't put in "The Work". Nobody can do the work for you just like no one can change your life. They can offer an opportunity, but it's up to you what...

The 24/7 availability of food and water is another remarkable aspect of this facility. The dining options are diverse and healthy, catering to various dietary needs and preferences. The meals are not only nutritious but also delicious, making it easy to nourish my body while focusing on my recovery. I appreciated that I could grab a snack or a refreshing drink at any hour, which is crucial in a rehab setting.
Avatar Rehab Center also offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic services. From individual counseling sessions to group therapy, I found the programs to be well-structured and effective. The therapists are knowledgeable and create a safe space for open dialogue, allowing you to tackle the underlying issues that led you to seek help. The holistic approach to recoveryāincorporating physical, emotional, and spiritual well-beingāwas incredibly beneficial.
Additionally, the various recreational activities offered allowed me to unwind and connect with other residents. Whether it was yoga sessions, art therapy, or outdoor excursions, these activities provided a wonderful balance to the more intensive therapy sessions. I made meaningful connections with others who were on similar journeys, which fostered a sense of community and support.
In summary, my experience at Avatar Rehab Center has been life-changing. The combination of a luxurious environment, exceptional staff, nutritious food, and comprehensive therapeutic programs created a perfect setting for my recovery. I left feeling like a new person, equipped with the tools and mindset to continue my journey beyond the walls of the center. If you or a loved one is considering rehab, I wholeheartedly recommend Avatar. It truly is a place where healing happens, and you are treated like royalty every...
