If I could give zero stars I would. I inquired about a vehicle there and wanted to proceed with the purchase. I was told to fill out an application and I stated I was self-employed and was told to provide bank statements which I did no problem. There was also a big dent on the back door and they said they would put it in writing that the dent would be taken care of (never received such writing). A few days go by with no response and I call in only to find out they are waiting on paystubs from me. The general manager tried to say he told me they were waiting on paystubs multiple times which is 100% not true because I told him I was self-employed which was documented actually. I even told him the day I met him I started my own company and was self-employed so I dont have paystubs. He seemed surprised and said he will correct that with the bank and get back in touch with me which he never did. I told Christine this as well. Adam stopped getting in touch with me so I started working with Christine. I told her multiple times I was a 1099 employee working for myself and that I did not have paystubs. I also told Christine I believed Adam messed something up because the bank shouldn't be asking a 1099/self-employed employee to provide a YTD on paystubs when its been stated I pay my taxes at the end of the year. So the bank of whom they were trying to get me approved (which they could never tell me who it was that I was sending my information to after asking multiple times the bank's name and was being told multiple times "I will find out and give you a call back" and never got a call back from anyone) said they needed two years of tax returns. Again no problem, because I thought the bank could see I am a 1099 employee and they could see that I dont have paystubs and they could see I pay taxes at the end of the year. I sent those in and Christine came back and said they needed a paystub with a YTD on it. I once again stated (and this information that I was a 1099 self-employed person was on the application by the way) that I don't have a YTD as I pay my taxes at the end of the year being a 1099 employee. I asked Christine for a bill of sale which she stated she would send in email and never did. Weeks go by and I receive a letter from where they were supposedly sending my information stating they are deny my application due to not receiving all the information and that it could've been approved had a provided a paystub with a YTD which is funny because I told the general manager Adam and Christine multiple times I dont have paystubs and provided all documentation indicating that. I in the end got offered a better car for a better price and better rates from a more professional dealership after sending in literally the EXACT same bank statements and the EXACT two years of tax returns that I sent Roanoke in about 3 days. The reason it took 3 days with this other dealership was because of the snow storm we got and they called me directly and said they were busy shoveling and couldnt send my information in because the bank (which they told me directly who it was) which I...
Read moreBack in June I was looking for a new car. Naturally, I put in inquiries all around. Christine was prompt in responding without being overbearing, something that stood out to me compared to other car sales places. We drove 2 hours to see a Lincoln, but unfortunately it just wasn't a good fit at the time and we didn't end up buying a car from here. But I wanted to be sure to leave a great review.
From the moment we first exchanged contacted information, Christine was on top of it. She had the car ready to go for a test drive, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and professional. The entire space was a warm and friendly vibe without lacking any professionalism. The small town environment with positive community feel made me really, really want to make it work. When at first I thought perhaps it would be the right fit, Christine was phenomenal, and the rest of the team, especially Ellie, there did everything they could to help me make a decision. They had great ideas and offers for driving the car, finance considerations, and followed up without being pushy.
When I called to tell her that unfortunately, I had to go another direction, she was very understanding and warm still. We were genuinely treated like people and not simply another sale while also having them keep all of our purchase needs in thought. I live in California but spend considerable time in Illinois, and as I told Christine, when our family in IL (myself included) plan on looking for our next car, we will absolutely look at Roanoke Ford first. When I say they are stellar and outstanding in what they do, I genuinely mean it. If they have something you're looking for, please do not hesitate to reach out. I hope to do business with them...
Read moreSo I’ve been looking for a vehicle for a couple weeks then I found one at Roanoke Ford. I talked to them and they were quick to get back with me. I inquired about a vehicle. We set up a price and purchase deal. I saw that their sister store was in Lincoln so I called them. They said they would deliver the car Monday so I didn’t have to drive the extra hour away. Then Roanoke said that they sold the car instead of delivering it that day, even though we had an arrangement. I would have made the trip if I knew that would sell it out from under me. Then I came to find out that they really didn’t sell the car but that they were holding it for me but in the other store (Roanoke). I called and let Lincoln know that I was the person it was being held for and they cleared it and said it would be delivered yet again. Roanoke also told me that I was their customer first so I should come up there instead of Lincoln, even though I live near Lincoln. After finding out they did that I previously left a Google Review and Roanoke asked me to take it down and then they would deliver the car. I did so and waited 3 more hours and Roanoke texted me and said they sold it. Lincoln has been nothing but helpful and try their best but Roanoke has been the absolute most petty I’ve ever seen a car dealership act. I will no longer support anything from Roanoke Ford and I will make sure to inform anyone else I can about their dealings. It’s more about them than doing what is best for...
