As a black women, this salon is not for usā¦.. I used pink moisturizer on my hair couple days before getting my hair washed and blown out ā¦ā¦..Candi decided that she didnāt feel like throughly washing my hair, which I didnāt realize until the next day when my hair starting falling out, that that was the worst decision-service Iāve ever had. She ruined my hairā¦.. if you donāt properly wash a black women hair, then proceed to do a Dominican Blowout, you will fry and strip that person hair! She admitted it during the service⦠I asked to be put under the steamer and she said no because my hair was still dirty⦠again, I had no idea why I didnāt tell her to rewash my hair until it was clean, biggest mistake, ever. I text her with pictures of my hair falling out, she said, that she had her husband (not a hairstylist at all) check the Camera from the day I was in, and he didnāt notice anything done differently and it must be stress thatās Causing my hair to fall out. (I would run my hand through my hair, and it just came out.)Then she blocked me. I had to travel 90mins back home to my original stylist, who said in her 35 years of doing hair, she had never seen anything so bad. She couldnāt even put braids in it cause it was so fragile and broken off. Looked like a kid took scissors to my hair. Candi has been nothing but negative ever since she got her shop, she speaks horrible about the girl she hired, tells all her business, itās really sad. When I went in that day, she had just finished talking about the $300 service one of the girls messed up, and she proceeded to talk about it for the three hours I was there. I feel like she sabotaging them. I wasnāt gonna say anything, until I seen the comment you left on the other womenās comment. Start listening to black woman and stop making excuses when youāve messed up/done wrong. Shame on you. Be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would not recommend this place to anyone with coily/kinky hair. I can't speak to Candy's skill, but the blonde stylist (I believe her name is Odelis) does not know how to work with 4c hair. I went in for a botox hair treatment and will start by saying - my hair came out nice, very straight. But the process was painful. I should've known at start with the way she rubbed and matted my hair up during the wash. She did not detangle my hair while wet, but instead waited until after the treatment was applied to my now matted hair, and stuck me under an exceptionally hot dryer for 30 min. She only tried to detangle it when it was completely dry (which you don't do with this hair type). She ripped out the tangles while blow drying. I now have a bald spot as well as sore spots on my scalp. No heat protectant was used until the very last straightening step. I am upset by this traumatizing experience, as the owner and other stylist were very friendly, and this place has otherwise great reviews. But I cannot see myself returning back to this salon...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I begin???!!! Candy has been doing my hair for years now and she never disappoints. Not only does she keeps my hair looking flawless every time every time I walk out of her shop, my experience started the moment I walked in. Iāve never felt so welcomed walking into a hair salon. Her warm welcoming towards everyone and positive energy is a vibe! When she opened this little gem, I was ecstatic! You can even get your nails and toes done there by her sister! Itās so lovely in there and super clean! She took so much pride in this shop and it shows how much she loves doing what she does. She actually cares about your hair, offers suggestions, is extremely knowledgeable in hair care, and gets the job done! I typically get curls and they last for a while. This chica knows what sheās doing! Iāve never been so happy with my service at her new shop. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, you will not be...
